When I checked in I was given a room upstairs, room 210. The front desk person pointed to the stairs. She said there wasn’t an elevator in the hotel. I asked if it would be possible to check for an available rooms on the first floor since it would be a little challenging to carry my luggage up the stairs. The front desk person did not seem interested in checking for me. So, I hauled my luggage up the stairs and down the hall to room 210. When I opened the door, the lights were on in the room and it was evident that the room had not been cleaned. The beds were unmade and towels were no on racks. So, I went back downstairs, and notified the front desk person that the room had not been cleaned. She did not apologize for the inconvenience. She just said, “I’ll make note of that.”. Then she promptly reassigned me to a room on the first floor! So, I went back upstairs to retrieve my luggage and hauled it back down the stairs and into my new room, room 108. I will not stay at this hotel again.
