Good Service. Clean although worn/dated. Local to amenities. Myy husband didn't enjoy the food.

Amazing friendly staff doing their best to accommodate us.

The sumptuous splendour that radiates from every sofa, high backed chair and furnishings in any one of the cosy lounge areas as you enter the Station Hotel, the calm and friendly welcome that quietly begins your stay, the reassuringly comfortable and tastefully plumped bedroom and invitingly pampering bathroom, all help to relax you as you embark on the perfect retreat in the warm embrace of the Dornoch Station Hotel. We held our wedding at this beautiful hotel in April this year and we will treasure this time forever. Bob, Stephen, Marius and their team of friendly and helpful staff went above and beyond to make our day - and our entire stay with family and friends, simply perfect! They could not have done more for us or our guests - they were all so lovely! The staff were the most friendly, charming and accommodating people you are ever likely to meet. It was an utter joy to spend time at this hotel. We were quite emotional leaving the Dornoch Station; it had felt like a home away from home! The food was mouth-watering, superbly presented and always delicious. The breakfasts were simply the most perfect way to start your day. If you are considering the Dornoch Station as a relaxing weekend getaway, a longer visit to explore the magnificent surroundings, or indeed, your own wedding venue, look no further. Every aspect of the hotel was sumptuous, the food exquisite and the service seamless and polished. We are already looking forward to our next visit; not just for the hotel comforts, but the very warm welcome we know will be waiting. Thank you!

This was a very last minute booking but based on our experience we will return. Everything about the hotel was excellent but we’d particularly like to mention the staff who provided such outstanding service.

Pseudo Scottish Country House, overdone. Staff polite and helpful. Evening meal very disappointing. No bread on the table or offered. Prawn and crayfish cocktail served in a jar making it difficult to eat. As for main course, school dinners comes to mind, a venison mix in suet crust with the most enormous splodge of mash with an egg on top and a few peas. Unappetising. Practically inedible. Dessert not very good and no cheese and biscuits on the menu. Really couldn't recommend this hotel to anyone.

Firstly the positives.Both Andrew at reception and Xander at breakfast were excellent as were the bar staff .They were courteous ,cheerful and informative. We were disappointed in our three day stay we did not meet or see the manager Bob as seems to be the case with most of the hotels we have stayed in the UK ,Ireland and Europe.Despite the hotel being recently renovated to a high standard the outside appearance suggests neglect with the metal railing and gate at the front being rusted as was the flag pole. There were also ****s growing out of the drains and exterior. This is in marked contrast to the other hotels in the immediate vicinity. We thought there would be more a**osphere and a chance to mix and talk with some of the locals as has been the case in other Scottish hotels we have stayed in. The hotel lacks a**osphere and was strangely empty which is surprising given the popularity of Dornoch as a tourist destination

My Fianncee and my best friend and I were all sent to Dornach Station by Drew Barrymore (yes that one) and it was a transcendent time.

Fabulous dinner and outstanding service, so pleased we ate here. Decor is opulent and charming, easily the best we have come across in Dornoch area. Highly recommended

Great stay at Dornoch Station, wonderful location especially if you want to play golf. Food is wonderful, staff very friendly and the comfortable beds allow for a great nights sleep.
