It’s at the heart of it all, walkable to literally anything. Love the safety they provide with the keycards and also completely locking the doors at night unless you are a guest. The free breakfast was a little much for my taste and only provided with two options, however, you were able to purchase additional items if needed. The bar in there, although I wasn’t able to utilize, had a really cool energy about it! The seating area in the front main lobby was beautifully decorated, very comfortable, and spacious. The library upstairs wasn’t really a library, but more-so just a cool place to hang out and had one pool table. The valet were amazing and gave you a ticket where if you needed your car at any time, you can text the number and they will pull it around for you. Check in was smooth and valet brought up all my bags into the room. The room was VERY spacious, clean, simple yet elegant. The bed was so comfortable and the bath was HUGE!! So much space to put your items away and have a more lived in experience, which I value a lot. The only negatives was the workers across the street would literally pull up a chair to stare into the rooms. Yes, there are the automated window treatments, but would be nice to have privacy treatments on the windows. It was advertised as zero noise. That is not the case at all. It was VERY noisy. I was on the 6th floor and could hear everything from outside to the neighbors. All in all, I’d definitely stay here again. Very fun and comfortable.

Clean and stylish property. Will, our check in host was professional and timely. Comfortable bed and well appointed room. Only negative was a loud repetitive 6 beeps all night from something outside about every 30 minutes. Take ear plugs.

Parking is rather pricey but I guess it is in all big cities. Unfortunately no discount for hotel guests. Everything about this hotel is 5 star. It’s a beautiful boutique hotel in a great location

Short walk to Ford Field, Comerica and Little Caesars Arena. About a 30 minute Uber ride from airport. Would stay here again for sure!

Great staycation The service at the Shinola was excellent. Will checked us in and provided the complimentary champagne and was very friendly and professional. We also found the Bellhops to be very attentive. The hotel is beautiful. The restaurant service was good. The bar service was fantastic, especially Olivia
