The thermostat in the room wasn’t working. The maintenance crew came in and turned on the heat full time and we cooked all Night after that. The coffee machine in our room wasn’t working and it took nearly an hour before it was changed out. On top of that I was charged 15 dollars for internet I used less than an hour. Very disappointed in the stay.

This is a magnificent hotel - well maintained and lots of character. We had a room on the 'art-deco' floor and the room was awesome. Staff was very courteous and helpful and there is good dining in and around the hotel.

Excellent experience and impeccable hotel. The Concierge went above and beyond to help book spa treatments, calling restaurants and made our stay incredibly smooth. We loved every moment and will definitely be back!

I Paid $500/ night believing i was staying at a 4 star hotel. The room had paint peeling off in large chunks from the ceilings. The bathroom had large areas where large paint chunks were peeling off from ceiling trim and from around shower heads. Shower door had no seals and water went outside around shower base and sealent was brown and moldy. Shower soaps and wash was small tubes enough for one person use. Asked house keeping which was outside door when we left for more and they wrote room and what was requested down and nothing was in the room when we returned. Some one left a wine glass in the hallway by the stairs door and it was there for 2 days before some one picked it up. Walls had chunks of wall paper torn up and hanging the whole time we were there (4 nights) being from Denver i was dissappointed that such an iconic hotel was so poorly taken care of.

Stayed two nights in this historical hotel. My 8th-floor room was clean, but there were issues with the door, toilet seat, and electric plug. Gave my feedback to the friendly reception desk staff.

For the amount paid, there were far too many broken features in the room. From a complete lack of cold water to issues with the ceiling fan, there were too many broken items or messed up mechanical issues in the room. For such a small room, and the amount paid to stay there, nothing should have been out of place or broken but the list of issues grew with each hour we were there. Disappointing stay for sure.

Conveniently located. Restaurant is ok. Decor is very nice. Room air conditioning cannot be controlled inside the room. Had to call the tech who turned it on but then it couldn't be turned off. So either freeze or bake.. your choice. Bathroom soap came wrapped in plastic. WHY? Bathroom sink did not have hot water and the cold water dripped all night. Can't imagine how this could have gotten past routine maintenance.

This property needs a complete refresh. Replace damaged furniture, torn wallpaper and a fresh coat of paint. While I appreciate the age of the building, everything else should be kept in top notch condition. Especially since I paid over $700 for one night.

We were a bit disapointed in our stay at the brown palace for a few reasons 1. Hotel room was very worn down - stains in the ceiling, the blinds did not fully close and the shower was broken - we had to call to get fixed. 2. TV in room didn't work 3. It was extremely noisy outside our 3rd flood room Thursday and Friday night.
