Joined our family friends for a night out in North Dayton. Went out to Scene 75, Longhorn and Hooters. The food, drinks and overall experiences were great for those places, so we decided to book a stay at Extended Stay America. Our friends told us they had a room at Extended Stay so we wanted to book in the same location. Upon arrival to our room we were very disappointed. The room smelled of fresh smoke, all of the lights didn’t work, there were stains on the linens, and stains on the walls. The room overall was very unkept. We called down to the front desk to bring all of our concerns to the staffs attention. Amanda tried to get us a new room, but they were overbooked and didn’t have the room to accommodate our family. A full refund was promised due to conditions of the room we were given and the unavailability to move rooms. We decided to stay since it was late, it was freezing outside and we have a small child. The next morning as we were checking out we spoke to the manager on duty, Teresa. Teresa stated to us that she was unable to give us a refund and didn’t offer any help to us at all. Amanda had great customer service and Teresa was complete opposite by giving us a horrible attitude with terrible customer service. All we wanted was what we were promised. She caused a scene in the lobby in front of my family and all of the other families coming down for breakfast. We have had many family trips, stayed in many hotels and this is the worst experience we’ve had yet.
