This hotel is a little gem , 2nd visit in 12 months.self catering accommodation in a friendly hotel , rooms nice & clean , plenty of sunbeds round the pool & sea views to die for, the entertainment team always had something on in the daytime , & nice restaurants & bar in the nighttime , there is also a great cafe for the daytime , all in all a great stay
We've been to this hotel over a dozen times and have spent thousands of pounds to come here over many years. In the last year or so we have seen a real decline in the quality of the hotel. Firstly THE ROOMS The suites are looking really shabby, the walls are marked and wallpaper lifting from the walls, chipped furniture, dirty door hinges, soap trays hanging off the shower room wall, and dusty lights. Oh, and Jacuzzi on balconies that fill up with rusty water! The POOL There are big craters appearing in the swimming pool (I actually caught my foot on one and it bruised my toes), it's dangerous. Then there's the filthy torn sunbed pads with foam hanging out, these are disgusting and unhygienic. As everyone else mentions, the tiled flooring around the pool area are slippery as hell, we saw two people fall over whilst there, this is also an ongoing issue. Also whilst staying at the hotel we were talking to a gentleman in the swimming pool who said he was actually from another hotel, along with his wife and that their friends (who was staying at Gran Tacanda) had let them in to sunbathe and drink around the pool. That poses a SECURITY risk. For that reason, be careful of your personal belongings being left on the (filthy) sunbeds, there are people who aren't even residents at this hotel using the facilities here. See all of my photos taken in January 2025. We pay €350 a night to stay in that! This is NOT 4 or 5 star hotel anymore. You'd get better kept, cleaner suites, safer pools and nicer sunbeds in a 3 star hotel. STAFF The staff in the main breakfast area are good, always helpful, the food at breakfast is good enough, although I noticed that they have cut back on a few things (bread, cheese and pastry selection) and sometimes we had to nudge the person behind the fruit counter and salad counter to top up the bowls as they were empty every morning. The Staff in the poolside restaurant are abysmal. Service is non-existent, and when it does happen, there are no greetings, no smiles, just miserable staff. The food is mediocre, we had to send two portions of fries back because they were undercooked. If you can't get fries right, then God help them with the rest of the menu! Fries are easy to cook? We have never been in such a slow and rude restaurant like this one before. The staff clearly do not enjoy working here and it shows. We wish we had not eaten there, it was our last night on the holiday and not a good way to end our holiday, it was awful. We have visited many other wonderful restaurants nearby to the hotel during our stay with happy friendly staff and chefs that know how to cook! For us, the staff have always made this hotel, but unfortunately the hotel is now in such a poor state of repair, that we don't want to stay at this hotel anymore and whilst on holiday we went to look at another one further down the road which truly IS a FIVE star hotel, similar price to Gran Tacande (but also includes evening meals). I first stayed at this hotel in 2009 - it always stood out in my memory as being one of the best hotels I had ever stayed in - flawless, attentive service and little touches too numerous to mention. Since then the hotel has lost all the considerations that made it so special, not to mention a drop in service levels that makes me question whether it even deserves 4 stars. For me the Bahia Del Duque is one of the last vestiges of old school charm and tradition on the island - the hotel itself is architecturally dazzling and adorned with intersecting lagoons that make the property quite unique against the backdrop of modern, trendy sites along the Tenerife *****. i do agree the hotel could do with a renovation but i actually feel they get away with it given there is so much beauty all around. The old AC system in the hotel even struggled to keep up with the heat in our room however the hotel did very kindly upgrade me to a suite with working AC, which was a really nice touch that I am very grateful for. This is where my romance with the Bahia del Duque ends. 1) Hotel is grossly understaffed - nobody serving drinks round the pool. Pool bars and beach bar (La Gomera) understaffed. Reception also understaffed, making lengthy waits at check in/check out. I communicated this to the Club House who seemed very grateful that i had bought it up and encouraged me to speak to management - they seemed under quite a lot of pressure themselves and were grateful someone was speaking up. Management didn't really seem to care and made excuses about it being particularly busy (81% full, I am told). 2) Breakfast is horrifically depressing - poor selection, poor quality, poorly executed eggs and hot dishes. Dry fruit, greyish/dull smoked salmon. I urge management to walk into the breakfast buffet at any luxury hotel and see the stark difference immediately. Other restaurants in this hotel are actually decent - the chef in charge of breakfast should be ashamed of themself. 3) 2/3 pools are freezing - customers wincing getting into the water. please heat them! it's so obviously unpleasant. Lot's of problems which frustratingly are all fixable. The solution? Charge guests a bit more if you need... get more staff (train them better), heat all the pools, up your breakfast game! What we have here is a once great hotel where the management do not care about the decline in standards. The management I spoke to in the hotel did not care. When i completed the satisfaction survey after my departure i did not get a response. I even added the hotel manager on Linkedin and sent her a long message and my phone number asking to discuss - i haven't heard back! My conclusion is that clearly the management do not care half as much as I do. A hopeless situation. Such a waste to see this beautiful property has descended into mediocrity. I doubt very much I'll return.

From the moment we arrived to the moment we left it was pure bliss. The El Mirador is our go to holiday. We have already booked for April of next year (7th visit), special mention for Jonathon, Stephano and Diana. But all the staff are so helpful and can’t do enough for you. We look forward to the return of Tiziana in 2025.
Absolutely amazing. The architecture was beautiful and modern with exotic plants and open spaces. Staff were very friendly and welcoming when we arrived. Large swimming pool with bridges to lead to an island in the middle of the pool (very deep!). Rooms were clean and well appointed - enormous bed but made it feel a bit cramped. Entertainment was provided by singers performing every night (til 11pm so hard to sleep before then if room above). Nice child’s room with a trampoline, table football and air hockey. Upgraded to the preferred club option which gives access to a lounge with free drinks and snacks from 1.30-7pm which we used instead of lunch! Good breakfast buffet. Only used the evening buffet once, was reasonable but not amazing. Some of the other onsite restaurants didn’t appear to have been open all week. The position was outstanding as many good restaurants were nearby and beaches with water sports only down the road. 10/10 would definitely recommend and visit again!
Lovely hotel great chicken nugget the best entertainer i have had the pleasure to experience in all of my last 20 years holidays he is call valentin the best white party today, better than the other day he dance and jump in every where whit the guest love him. The rest of the team they are amazing nice snack
2歳児と一緒だったので、子供用のプールやアクティビティが充実しているファミリーフレンドリーなこちらのホテルにしました。オールインクルーシブにして、結果的に大正解でとても満足です! 良い点: ・ホテルのスタッフが皆とてもフレンドリー。子供にもよく話しかけてくれる。特にJulio! 到着したときに部屋まで案内しながらホテルの詳しい説明をしてくれました。Muchas gracias Julio! ・ビュッフェは品数が多くて5泊してもすべてを食べ尽くせないほどだった。どれも平均的に美味しくて毎回楽しみで食べすぎてしまった。 特にディナーは日替わりでメインテーマが変わり、滞在中はシーフード、モロッコ系(タジン鍋など)、アジア系(スシ、餃子など)、スペイン料理(タパス)、メキシカン(タコスなど)を楽しめてとってもよかった! メインテーマ以外はジャンルは固定でサラダバー、パエリア、イタリアン、中華、スイーツコーナーがあり、こちらも日替わりでメニューが少し変わっていたのでとても良かった。 ・部屋は過不足なく快適で、特に良かったのは部屋にあるガラス瓶に自分でウォーターサーバーからお水を入れて好きなだけ飲める点。ペットボトル削減のための取り組みらしいけど、美味しいお水にいつでもアクセスできるのは有り難かった。 ・プールは子供用のスライダーが大小沢山あり、2歳児も安心して遊ぶことができた。またプールサイドのデッキチェアも余裕があり、座れないということがなかった。 ・ロロパークまではバスで2時間程度で時間がかかるもののホテルでバスと入場券を予約購入できて便利だった。 ・徒歩圏内にビーチやショッピングモールがあるのもポイント高い! 微妙だった点: ・ビュッフェは本当に素晴らしかったけど、スープの味が無くてびっくりしたことが2回ほどあった。笑 1回目はミネストローネと書いてあるスープを試してみたところ、恐らくメニューの表示から間違えていて、塩味が全くない野菜とお湯、、みたいなものだった。 2回目はビュッフェのテーマがSushiのときにMiso soup なるものがあったけど、見た目からして謎のGreen soup で、飲んでみたらただのお湯のような味で1ミリも味噌汁じゃなかった(^^;) 担当者によるのかもしれません。。 ・オールインクルーシブなのでプールサイドのバーでドリンク飲み放題なのは良かったけど、妊娠中でアルコールが飲めずノンアルカクテルをチョイスしたものの基本的にどれも甘すぎて少しだけ残念でした。普通の100%オレンジジュースなどがあったら嬉しかったです。 少しだけ改善点はありますが、総じて素晴らしいホテルでした!!! I stayed here with my partner and our 5 month old daughter. We had a two bedroom room which was really spacious with a kitchen and huge sun terrace. We had a really good time, the location is good near to loads of restaurants/ little supermarket if you want to make use of the kitchen. As we had a small baby with us we didn’t leave the hotel much, just went to the pool which did get busy but there seemed to be plenty of loungers for everyone. Breakfast was nice with everything you’d expect from a hotel breakfast. I read the scam reviews before our trip and did overhear all the people mentioned in the other reviews showing people around and trying to sell these holidays while we were waiting for our taxi to the airport in the hotel lobby. They did not approach us but do seem to be operating in the foyer of this hotel and showing people around. All in all we had a great stay and would return.
Had a lovely weeks break at this resort. Very clean and staff are great. This does have a very steep climb especially from the big supermarket. We tended to walk down into adeje and get a taxi back. Sunbeds were a bit of an issue but it seems to be the same everywhere. Still a great holiday and would go back.
