克姆艾比飯店(Coombe Abbey Hotel)

Stayed here for a wedding a few weeks ago. Booked 2 cosy double rooms and 1 standard double room. Very disappointed with the rooms as they were very dated and not maintained. They are in need of refurbishment. I wasn't expecting this to be a modern hotel, given the type of building it is, but still expected the rooms to be kept in good order. I'm sure some of the more premium rooms are very nice but the standard rooms were not worth the £112 per night (£125 for standard double). Thankfully we were only staying for one night here. I will be attending another wedding here in July but will choose to stay at the premier Inn instead, which is cheaper and not too far away at all. Only good thing was the convenience going straight to the room at the end of the reception party.

I have stayed at Coombe Abbey a number of the times. The property and its his are amazing. The staff are very polite and helpful. However (like so many places) the prices are increasing per stay, along with the restaurant and bar. What spoilt this most recent trip, is that the onsite car parking is not included within the over night and you now have the hassle of paying £8 after you have checked out. Unfortunately additional costs are pushing this hotel out of my business budget.

There was good and bad. The hotel is beautiful and the food was very good. In the room the TV didn’t work and the shower sprayed out in all directions. We went to the bar for a drink but couldn’t find anywhere to sit as so much was going on at once. Breakfast service wasn’t great as had to wait a while for the breakfast items to be replenished and asked for some butter for my toast which never arrived. Once I’d got my breakfast it was nice with lots of variety

I have stayed here many times and honestly the rooms are getting tired, broken tiles, poor quality repairs to plumbing - this time no cold water in the shower so it’s too hot to use bits missing from the taps and damage to the walls.. For a hotel that has a truly amazing character this was extremely disappointing.
