We have stayed at this Hampton Inn more than a dozen times and have had good experiences in the past. Not this time.
1. We had three false alarms in a five day period, one of which was late at night.
2. During the first of them, customers on floors 4, 5, and 7 complained that the fire doors were locked. The staff said that was impossible, despite attestations from 10 people.
3. Some hours later they showed us that the fire doors were now open and used that to suggest the 10 of us were mistaken.
4. The telephone in our room did not work. The staff said they would put in a new battery and return it. That took more than two days, and when it was returned it still did not work.
5. A dog was permitted in the breakfast area on at least one morning.
6. When the room was serviced they failed to change the bed linens.
7. The vending and ice rooms were locked and no soft drinks or ice were available at the front desk area.
