Wir haben das Hotel für einen Musicalbesuch gebucht. Die Lage ist hierfür einfach genial. Auch ein Spaziergang zum Dom, kleine Shoppingtour etc. ist ohne Probleme zu Fuß möglich. Wir waren mit dem Auto da und konnten kostenlos direkt vor dem Hotel parken. Aber es gäbe auch reservierbare Stellplätze vom Hotel. Unser Zimmer war im dritten Stock und wir waren für die eine Nacht vollauf zufrieden. Das Zimmer war sauber und in einer ausreichenden Größe. Das Bad war nicht modern aber ebenfalls sauber. Das Frühstück wurde im Hotel Domspitzen serviert. Wir sind relativ früh angereist und konnten somit noch unsere Frühstückszeit auswählen. Es gibt drei Schichten: 8-9 Uhr, 9-10 Uhr und 10-11 Uhr. Die Platzsituation war trotzdem etwas eng. Heißgetränke und Eierspeisen werden serviert. Ansonsten gibt es ein Buffet. Ich würde das Buffet als außergewöhnlich bezeichnen. Es gab sogar eine vegane Ecke, Schaumküsse, Waffelherzen, Milchreis mit Grütze oder Tiramisu. Natürlich auch das Übliche wie Brötchen und verschiedene Wurst/Käsesorten. Müsli konnte man mit unterschiedlichen Toppings verfeinern etc. Der Obstsalat kam nicht aus der Dose und auch der Saft schmeckte gut. Das hätte ich nicht erwartet und verdient ein besonderes Lob. Auch das Personal war zu uns äußerst freundlich und zuvorkommend.

The hotel is in a great location, block and a half from the central train station (Hauptbonhof), and the Cathedral. We had a studio apartment. The staff was incredible. The breakfast was fantastic, with outstanding and I mean outstanding, service. The desk staff were very helpful in giving directions and printing tickets to events that we purchased online. We would stay there again without question.

The hotel was in a perfect location, just a few minute walk from the Dom. Simple, but very clean with good beds. Staff should be specially mentioned (reception, breakfast room) as it was superb, very helpful and delivered the best service ever! Very good breakfast: layout, choice, very good coffee. Can not fault it in any way. To be mentioned, that the reception and the breakfast room is in a sister hotel on the same road (1min walk). The check-in late at night can be that bit trickier (reception closed) and you will need to walk down the road for the breakfast.

Stayed here at the weekend and really it’s only bedrooms for their sister hotel The Domspitzen where you check in and get Breakfast every day . The Domstern is 120 metres from the hotel which is grand when it’s dry but not so nice when it’s pouring rain. There is NO House keeping here so you never get clean towels or bed s made etc . Breakfast is every hour eg. 7-8. 8-9 & 9-10 and that literally means you get an hour for your breakfast. I overran by 2 minutes and the waitress came and I kid you not. Started tapping her watch to hurry me up..and there were lots of empty tables around Relaxing place for breakfast not. Lighting in the bedrooms were very dim and no light to read a book. If I was back in Cologne I definitely wouldn’t stay here again .Only thing going for it that it was very quiet at night time and a short walk to markets,Cathedral etc

The room was spotless and extremely comfortable. It was decorated beautifully with floral wallpaper, and soft furnishings to match.
