厄珀別墅飯店(Upper House Guesthouse)

The location of the guesthouse was great and close to all the places we wanted to visit in Clarens. The staff was friendly and professional. The rooms were splendid, well-kept and beautiful. This is the best place to choose when staying in clarens.

We could not have imagined a more magical setting in which to get engaged! Attention to detail was unmatched. The room was magnificent and breakfasts (served in our room) were delicious! Unforgettable!

Love this place. Everything about it was good. We were met at the gate and everything explained. Safe and quiet premises. Beautifully appointed rooms and bathroom. Lovely breakfast served in the room.

We had an amazing experience at Upper House Guesthouse. Stacey was on call for every single one of our requests and would always respond promptly. Mamphoko and Gertrude were also amazing and prepared scrumptious breakfasts every single morning. We had everything we needed bar a few kitchen items like storage containers and serving dishes but Stacey brought some for us upon request. The beds were super comfortable. The location was very convenient with beautiful views of the mountains. We had a large garden were we could enjoy the outdoors and a braai. The only thing missing was a pool but this seems to be the case with most properties in Clarens. A pool would have sealed the deal but we are happy overall.

A beautiful place in a beautiful town. It's the type of accommodation that makes you feel that relaxed Clarens warmth and vibe. Nobody and nothing is perfect so if your looking for perfection then Clarens is not for you. I'm upper house much like Clarens as a whole, it's about feel.

Fabulous room, spacious. I expected to have a full view of the mountains but not so much. I had to go out of my room to see the view. Overall i enjoyed my stay. I wish they could ask me what i want for breakfast or at least tell you, on the second day, they gave me omelette which i am not a fan of..and the parking is a bit low, my car struggled to come up, was a bit scary for me since I was alone. But the host is lovely.

It was a very nice stay in this guest house. The rooms and the bathrooms were very nice and the breakfast was lovely. Coffee, tea, cookies and sherry were available next to a small fridge. Very satisfied and highly recommended. Andreas Hülsmann

Very glad it’s over - staff assumed we couldn’t understand their language - big mistake. Best part of the getaway was leaving to come home. We were also served bacon in everything even though we were asked our dietary requirements. Aside from that, we had no water or electricity from 10pm Sunday night for a continual 16 hours. Even for africa, that’s a long time with no alternative for drinking, washing and flushing.

Excellent accommodation in Clarens. Stayed unfortunately for 1 night only due to other bookings. Friendly welcomed by Jess. Close vicinity of town square (Walking distance). Sleep quality of bed excellent with extra luxury of electric blanket. Safe Parking on site. Will use accommodation again in the future when visiting Clarens.
