have been going to the Revoli for a number of years, amazing hotel, excellent staff. my son has autism and finds it difficult to speak, but staff were so friendly, he was chatting away. room was clean and staff came most mornings to clean. during last years IT issues we were taken to another hotel, although 5* we would of preferred to return to the Revoli.

This was our fourth visit to marina suites. We were celebrating our 40th wedding anniversary with a ten day visit. On the fourth night we discovered cockroaches in our bedroom. We informed hotel staff of the situation and we asked to be moved. We were told no other room’s available due to lack of cleaners though Tui were told hotel full, blatant lie. We were told they would have to fumigate our room, I am a chronic asthma sufferer health and safety guidelines recommend not to return under 72 hours, the hotel told us we could return after a few hours. Cockroaches in themselves can trigger asthma. Who would take this risk of a hospital admission or worse. Who would end up paying hospital costs should an attack happen not only to me but any other guests? Staff didn’t understand what asthma was. We wasted our fifth day waiting for help but non came from hotel staff or Tui. The hotel staff couldn’t care less about our situation we still had five days holiday left and were left with no other option but to fly home at our own cost. We had hired a scooter as I’m on crutches so we lost 5 days money on that as well as flights and taxi to the airport. All of this was not our fault, regardless of my asthma it is not recommended for guests to return less than 72 hours due to chemicals used. The hotel lied to Tui saying they couldn’t move us to another room as it was full this is a large hotel and we’ve seen it nearly full this was nowhere near loads of empty sun beds and people around, my husband was told we couldn’t move to lack of cleaners. If you are looking to book take extra money to fly home early as they take your money but couldn’t care less about you if this happens be warned.

Had a great stay at Altamadores. Large terraces with own sun loungers,comfy seats,table and chairs.Staff were friendly but at times didn't seem to be enough of them in the restaurant.Clean and bright rooms. Enjoyed a massage whilst staying at the hotel which I would recommend. Only gripe which has already been mentioned by other guests is that the food was not as hot as it should have been.
