Nice regular halfway stop overnight for my travels from Rocky to Brisbane. Always clean and suits my needs perfectly. Plenty of options for food in the town, usually a pub meal for me. Beds are comfortable and give a good night's sleep. Reasonably priced and easy parking.

Clean spacious room, very comfortable bed. My only difficulty was with the shower room which only had a shower curtain for a door. Inside the shower room, there was no curtain across the shower area itself which meant the whole floor got soaked including the bath mat and there was nowhere dry to get in to new clothes except for going out into lounge area. Placement of a second curtain in the shower to contain the overspray would fix this. Otherwise, staff were very friendly and obliging, no other concerns.

My wife and I stopped at the Avacado Motel on our way south from Cairns to Brisbane for a one night stay. We found it to be clean and neat with a very comfortable bed and easy parking. The lady at the desk was personable and friendly. We will stay again if we find ourselves staying in Childers. The only downside is the close proximity to the truck route. That said, this was a reasonably priced, nice accommodation, all things considered. 

We didn’t have a reservation, but the friendly receptionist was able to provide 2 rooms for our overnight stay. She also told us about the eateries so that we could enjoy a nice dinner. There was a kettle and small fridge in the room along with tea and coffee supplies. The beds were super comfy and were relatively new. The downside to this motel was the very loud road noise which made it impossible to sleep properly.

I stayed overnight on my road trip. The room was clean, parking easy and the bed very comfortable. I noticed the road noise from passing trucks but this did not disturb me. Conveniently located opposite Woolworths and shopping centre, and an easy walk to cafe or hotel for an evening meal. I would recommend this accommodation as good value when travelling through Childers.

We stayed one night on our way to Agnes Waters. The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable, and the price was very reasonable. The receptionist when I rang was very friendly, we arrived late and she waited til we got there and nothing was too much trouble. If we go up there again, I would have no hesitation to stay again. Rooms were very clean and quiet. Plenty of truck parking out the front. I was able to check in after hours without disturbing anyone with the key left in a designated place. Danielle was most helpful.

Pros: Friendly check in. Good parking. Decent size room. Good shower. Good location. Cons: No cutlery, no plates, no face washers. Only one pillow per person. Basically no power points which is not real good in a room with multiple people. Beds were average. I have expressed my pros and cons and wouldn’t stay again but wouldn’t deter anyone from trying themselves.

Clean and tidy room. Our stay overnight was pleasant. Avocado motel is easy to find, right on the highway. We were put in a room at the rear so that noise was minimal. It was handy to have kitchen appliances and a dining table so that we could have breakfast
