Clean, quiet environment, nice restaurant. Helpful front desk. Reasonable rate. Just only very few wall power socket in the room is bit not convenient.

Liked the friendliness of staff, good upgrading. Lovely evening meal. Shame the lake not accessible - we had our wedding pics down there 37yrs ago! Oak-panelled room much smaller than it used to be :( Our 1st night bedroom not a patch on what it was then - now two rooms - (shame). Breakfast - satisfactory. Overall - Still love it! Thank you.

Beautiful building with lovely, spacious, clean rooms. Beautiful bedding! Friendly, attentive staff. Cooked breakfast was delicious, but continental selection lacking freah fruit and no fruit juices. Has to ask specifically for juices abd also for toast. No preserves or marmitr/ spreads available.

Wonderful hotel, bar, and restaurant though we didn't use the latter due to an early flight out. We will certainly stay again on our next pass through Manchester airport.

The room was filthy, multiple coffee stains on the carpet, rubbish and chocolate under the bed, stood on a bottle top which was on the floor, doesn’t think they actually cleaned the room. Considering COVID this hotel should not be open to paying guests because of the lack of proper housekeeping. We were at a family wedding so didn’t have time to complain or get a different room, we returned in the early hours. Breakfast was not freshly made, had better in small B & B at a 3rd of the price. Considering the location I don’t know how they are still in business. Breakfast chairs had white stains and not a good look when you are eating

Overall an amazing place to stay By far the largest room I’ve ever had in a hotel with its own corridor to room Lovely place First stayed here about 8 years ago and pleased to say it’s been even further improved My bathroom needs minor improvement, pin hole in shower feed pipe and minor blackened silicone of the freestanding bath. Overall a beautiful location just a shame about the weather as always

The staff were excellent. Breakfast on my first morning was very poor with most items unavailable. The room was very tired and in poor condition. Worst of all was there was no hot water for my morning shower, it came on just before I left the room. Always nice to start the day with a cold shower when it’s minus 3 outside. The photos on the website are not reflective of the real condition. The hotel is evidently being run with limited funds. Would not return and not recommend.

I like this hotel, it's clean, nice staff, good food and I'd much rather stay here than an airport hotel.
