旭日飯店 - 格林國王旅館(Rising Sun Hotel by Greene King Inns)

we had dinner at the Pub , nicely decorated and good service but the food need attention . First my wife asked for salmon and 10 minutes later they say they do not have it, she got fish and chips and the fish was not good at all. The mushroom soup was excellent but the Lasagna was really bad, overcooked, not juicy and I ate it coz I was hungry. The brownie was horrible I left it . The place, the location and the area are really beautiful so please raise the food standards .

Visited today after walking the pooch up Cleeve Hill. Dog friendly but no water or treats. Such is life. I always like Greene King beer (Abbott Ale) but the food tends to be a bit ‘boil in the bag’ to be honest. Our local in east London has similar food. We had the chicken liver pate and it was tasty if unexceptional. Not disabled friendly unless we missed something? Lots of stairs. Apologies, I cannot rate the hotel, only the bar. At least we enjoyed the beer.

Property set within lovely views between Bishops Cleeve and Winchcombe. Very little nearby so car is a good idea, although there is a bus stop outside. Needs some money spending on some of the areas of the building. Attention to detail required, for example several curtain hooks missing and curtain are creased. Black mould on bathroom areas. Shortage of staff, but current staff members seem to work hard, are polite and willing to assist.

I booked this hotel via *******. Five minutes after doing so, I realized I had made a mistake. I had booked the correct dates but the wrong location. I made many calls to ******* and the hotel direct to try to cancel the booking, but I couldn't get a refund. The stay was still months away, but that didn't make any difference. After arriving in the UK, I realized that Greene King is a chain. They could have offered me a different hotel in my desired location. I would have been happy to pay the difference. As we checked in, the manager inexplicably dropped the f bomb. It just slipped out. It wasnt a stressful situation, it was just a natural part of her language. I bought my son a drink from the bar. When he asked for ice, the person serving said they had 'run out'. From this experience I learned to never book a hotel that doesn’t have a reasonable cancelation policy. It's an indication of poor management. I will never use ******* again either.

Erinomaine hinta/laaatu suhde. Hotelli sijaitse mäen päälle josta hyvä näkyvyyttä Bishops Cleeve kylään. Kuitekin ainka voimakas tuulta. Huoneet ja aamupalat hinnan mukaan perustasolla mutta riittävät. Kokopäivä oltin autolla reisulla ja vaan yöksi hotelliin. Suositelen.

Our booking was wrong when we arrived even though our conformation was correct. Hotel couldn't fulfill our booking so we left after a heated conversation with the receptionist. Didnt even get an apology & still waiting more our money back. Not happy!
