教堂山雅樂軒飯店(Aloft Chapel Hill)

Pros--pleasant personnel; clean. Cons--weirdly configured room with minimal bathroom privacy. A "barn" sliding door to the toilet/shower that took two people to open and shut. (We left it open). No real room for sitting. No shampoo (despite two complaints); small fridge didn't work; no ink in "business" printer (had to find a printing shop a mile away), noisy up close to busy street; bad coffee (or no coffee) in lobby with no milk or cream available, only disgusting "cremora" in equally disgusting "flavored" versions. (Apart from the vile taste,cremora contains high saturated fat content and trans-fatty acids which are potentially harmful.) To add insult to injury we reserved and guaranteed our room; 2 hours after the deadline for cancellation we got an email offering a 40 per cent off for the two nights we were there.Oh, the bartender was friendly--we needed it. We would have preferred Red Roof and saved $300 for the three nights we were there.

As far as hotel’s go this was clean and convenient. We went to a UNC game and free parking was nearby at the Friday Center with free shuttle to the Dean Dome. That was really nice. The room was smaller than other hotels I stay at and the wallpaper in the bathroom was the ugliest wallpaper I have ever seen.

I have an unresolved billing problem. The hotel is almost impossible to reach by phone. There were other smaller issues i will overlook.

No hot water or working fridge. Customer service was incredibly unprofessional and rude. Will not be returning.

Overall we enjoyed our stay. It is in a convenient area close to campus. However we did not like and we surprised that we had to pay to park at the hotel. This was not mentioned on the website and i may have tried to stay elsewhere if I knew I would be charged to park. Especially since breakfast was bot provided as a complimentary service. The hotel shoukd add the price of parking in the cost for the total and not separate. But if you get past the parking fee, the hotel was fine. Nothing spectacular or better than any other hotel I have stayed at.

I prepaid this room in advance. My son arrived at 12:30AM after driving 7 hours. The doora were looked and noone was there working. After 30 minutes of knocking and calling the hotel trying to contqct someone so he could check in, he finally left and paid for another room at a different hotel. Otvitz and this hotel are both resoponsible for this horrible failure that i have been dealing slwith starting at 1AM in the morning. Do not atay at this rude and unprofessional place. It sucks!

I was disappointed to pay for parking on the street. It didn't bother me but my sister-in-law had a problem with the fragrance in the main lobby. She has allergies. The room was clean but kind of retro. I haven't been in a room like that.
