拉迪諾Il公寓(Il Raduno)

We booked a single night stay at Il Raduno, solely because Castle Gandolfo is an easy drive to the airport in Fiumicino as we needed to pick up arriving friends there the next day. We did not realize the significance of this place, being the Pope's summer residence and having an extensive Papal palace and gardens. Luckily we arrived early enough to tour the palace and catch the final garden tour of the day! What a unique place! The setting is pretty cool too - on the rim of a lake filled volcanic caldera. Il Raduno is located within the pedestrianized old town, so one must park outside and walk in. There are numerous parking areas, some free or 4 Euros per day, depending on where you find a spot. And it can be challenging to find to find a spot! It took us a few circuits before finding a spot near one of the gates, and this was later in the day in April, which should have been less busy than the summer! No matter where you park, you will have to walk into the old town. While Il Raduno is in the middle of the old town, and there is significant potential for noise, we found it to be quiet as most tourists left in the evening, leaving the town quite empty overnight. There were lots of restaurants and shops nearby. The suite featured a fridge and stove, but no kettle. It had a small balcony overlooking the street behind the house. The room was quite spacious, comfortable, clean and well-maintained. The bathroom was up a short flight of stairs and was fairly tight, but certainly serviceable. We initially had some problems logging into wifi but after consulting with the host by phone were able to get it working. Castel Gandolfo is certainly worth visiting and if staying overnight Il Raduno is a very good option.

Ho avuto occasione di trascorrere una notte in questo B&B molto accogliente come la Signora Adonella, la proprietaria. L'appartamento è molto intimo, perfetto per persone sole o coppia. Sembra ricavato da una grotta di un antico palazzo, l'ambiente è stato restaurato alla perfezione rendendolo molti ampio nello spazio e con ogni indispensabile comfort. Posizionato strategicamente in una zona molto silenziosa del centro paese e questo permette un ottimo relax ma anche di raggiungere facilmente in breve tempo le attrazioni storiche da visitare. Il parcheggio non è vicino ma ci si può organizzare con borsa leggera o trolley. La colazione, molto romantica, al bar nei tavolini del corso centrale in zona a traffico limitato, quindi in completa serenità e con sede papale in vista.

Il Raduno to wspaniałe miejsce na odpoczynek i jako miejsce wypadowe na wycieczki do zatłoczonego Rzymu. Położone w miasteczko Castel Gandolfo cudnym miejscu nad jeziorem. Albano. Wspaniałe duże łóżka, czysciutko i komfortowo. W przestronnym apartamencie jest wszystko co trzeba, a największym atutem jest przecudowna właścicielka ktora sluzy pomocą. Polecam wszystkim szukającym spokojnego i pięknego miejsca.

Appartamento appena ristrutturato, arredi nuovi, la signora che ci ha accolti è gentilissima. Tutto pulito. E posizione super centrale sul corso pedonale. Consigliatissimo. E poi il corso è pieno di trattorie tipiche. Andateci.

La struttura ha due appartamenti (raggiungibili solo tramite scale) e il nostro, che era il più grande, era dislocato su due livelli: al piano inferiore avevamo un salotto, un balconcino, una cucina, una tv, un bagno con doccia molto carino e un letto matrimoniale a baldacchino. Al piano superiore soppalcato, c’era un altro letto matrimoniale e un altro bagno più un utilissimo condizionatore. Ampi spazi arredati con gusto in stile rustico/antico e dai colori perfettamente coordinati, tutto pulito e tutto molto gradevole esteticamente. Silenzioso nonostante la posizione centrale nel principale corso pedonale (ricco di ristoranti e negozi, oltre al bar convenzionato dove è possibile consumare la colazione), e proprietaria disponibile a farci fare il check-in senza problemi a tarda serata per via di un nostro contrattempo. Nessuna critica, questo B&B è proprio uno di quei posti dove, appena riparti, non vedi l’ora di ritornarci!
