This was a farm stay with a difference. Our host Rita went out of her way to make us feel at home and to tend to our comfort. The garden was amazing even in winter. Summer will see it in full bloom and will leave you breathless. We can just imagine how wonderful this must be as a wedding venue.The venue produce their own wine and is located within a short drive from Wellington and Paarl.

Bakenhof Winelands Lodge was a great stay. The garden rooms are absolue bliss and one should actually book here not only for an overnight opportunity but rather a full weekend to better enjoy everything offered by the accomodation and surrounds. Well placed relative to neighbouring wine farms and town for exploring.

We loved the host and the beautiful garden with all the roses and the big trees. After our first stay, we booked a second stay two weeks later. The staff, especially Ms Eden Okker , was very nice and helpful. We will come again.

Beautiful place to stay would highly recommend Really relaxing place to be surrounded with mountain in the far distance and beautiful gardens Placed looked after clear and tidy with everything you would need for sort to long stays

We had the most amazing stay at Bakenhof, the room was stunning, the garden and farm is absolutely fantastic. Lynne and Rita went absolutely out of their way to accommodate us and make our stay super memorable - they are absolute gems! Our only regret is not staying longer. Excellent!!

Loved the bathroom facilities, and the room was cosy and comfortable. We liked that the shops wasn't too far from our destination, and the views and scenery was beautiful. With the Garden Suite, we didn't know that the hot tub was that far from the suite. Which wasn't a big deal for us, just slightly inconvenient. Other than that we had a great experience at the lodge

Great stay and awesome view. We had a weekend in Wellington and had a lovely stay with Bakenhof. It was a stunning area and farm with stunning views over the mountains and vineyards. Very comfortable and would recommend it to anyone.

We had a lovely stay. Super Peaceful and beautiful and the rooms were amazing. You are hidden in the wine farm and wake up to the sound of birds. We were greeted and received complementary items on arrival. Overall a wonderful experience, would definitely go back!
