開普敦One&Only飯店(One&Only Cape Town)

This hotel was absolutely beautiful but definitely a bit overpriced. The rooms are beautiful and spacious but we were a little disappointed with the housekeeping as there was bird poop on our balcony floor and even after telling them to clean it they didn’t. For the price we definitely expected more. The location is perfect for shopping and the aquarium. Breakfast and room service food were all very good.

Decided to go there for lunch- the lobby area has a nice restaurant where they also serve high tea. The sandwich was okay , fries were soggy. But the place is beautiful. It’s a nice spot for a drink with a view. When high tea is served there is also a pianist.

We had an amazing stay in the One&Only Cape Town last December. It is a seriously impressive hotel from the minute you walk into the breathtaking foyer with Table Mountain looming large right in front of you. An initial mix up about rooms was brilliantly handled by Lungi who sat myself and my daughter down for a comped lunch and drink while my wife sorted it our with the staff. Lungi was super helpful throughout the trip as were the other staff. The room was really comfortable, again with amazing views, and briiliantly kitted out for a little toddler with a selection of toys ready for her to play with as well as a mini dressing gown and slippers. We really enjoyed the kids club too. The lady working there went above and beyond to make our little lady have the best play time. The hotel is in a perfect location to explore the V&A Area and Greenpoint and you have a lot to do within a 10 minute walk The breakfast buffet was pretty epic but i would recommend sticking to the buffet as some of the hot food options were a little disappointing. Really enjoyed the Malay food section. Lots of lovely fruit and healthy options for kiddies too. Last but not least the Pool area is really really cool and the Spa looked amazing too even if i did not get any treatments this time. I really enjoyed spending a few hours and having a cocktail or two there. It is not cheap by South African standards but it was a great experience.

Wir waren bereits im Februar 2020 hier und konnten und begeistert. Wir konnten uns daher trotz 20% (!!) Preissteigerung nicht für ein anderes Hotel in Kapstadt begeistern. Die Lage ist kaum zu toppen, das Ambiente mit Blick auf den Tafelberg, ebenso. Fast Direkt angrenzend an das two Oceans Aquarium, erreich man auch sonst alles zu Fuß an der Waterfront und das alles total sicher! Dieses Mal entschieden wir uns für einen Double-Queen Marina room auf der hoteleigenen Pooloasen-Insel. Aufgrund der fehlerhaften Kommunikation und (offensichtlich) fehlender Sicherheitsstandards des Hotels wollte man uns zuerst im EG eines Island Blocks unterbringen. Mit zwei Kindern im Alter von 3 und 5 Jahren, jedoch mehr als lebensgefährlich, da kein Zaun zwischen Terrasse und Kanal (offenes Wasser) besteht! Da erst am nächsten Tag das gewünschte und richtige Zimmer im OG frei wurde, war die erste Nacht wortwörtlich für die Fische... ABER Fehler passieren, was den Unterschied macht, ist wie man damit umgeht. Lange Rede kurzer Sinn, nach dem Chef Butler hat sich die Hoteldirektorin selbst um die Angelegenheit gekümmert und uns entsprechenden Ausgleich verschaffen (kostenlose Konsumation am Pool für den gesamten Aufenthalt). Ab Tag 2 haben wir unseren Aufenthalt dann wieder wie gewohnt genossen. Das Frühstücksbuffet sucht seinesgleichen! Alle Mitarbeiter waren freundlich und bemüht! Devi an der Rezeption erkannte uns sogar noch aus 2020! Kurzum, wir würden wiederkommen, aber die Kommunikation über das richtige Zimmer vorab direkt und selbst (ohne Reisebüro) mit dem Hotel führen! Ein einziger Negativpunkt am Hotel, sind die unglaublichen sogar für europäische Standards hohen Preise, das beginnt bei der Nächtigung und geht weiter mit Drinks wie Gin Tonic im normalen (nicht sehr großen) Long drink Glas ohne Schnickschnack für 16,-. Aber, da es schwer sein wird, das Hotel an der Waterfront zu toppen, würden wir uns wieder für das One&Only entscheiden, wenn es bis dahin noch bezahlbar ist! :-)

Wonderful hotel situated beautifully when the V&A harbor area. Staff could not be friendlier. Great food, great ambiance, super comfortable beds, lovely gym. Breakfast is enormous and included....can be brunch or a al carte or a combination. Beatiful central bar off the main lobby that is great for a pre-dinner drink of a nigh cap. Easy access to great shopping, walking, restaurants and live entertainment. I would highly recommend.

Из плюсов - красивая территория отеля, относительно других отелей на набережной. Просторные номера, удобные кровати, есть все необходимые принадлежности, кепки, шлепки, пляжная сумка, все, кроме зубной щетки и пасты. Из лобби отеля открывается прекрасный панорамный вид. Замечательный открытый бассейн, с удобными лежаками 👍🏾 На ресепшен сотрудники хорошие, все делают четко и быстро. Теперь о минусах. О стандартах обслуживания здесь не знают. Начиная с завтрака складывается ощущение , что ты пришел в гости к официанткам и должен быть им благодарен за такую возможность. Все делают ОЧЕНЬ МЕДЛЕННО. Можно 10-15 минут ждать пока принесут меню. Затем еще столько же, чтобы приняли заказ. При этом никакой загруженности нет, официантки просто будут стоять и болтать друг с другом, полностью тебя игнорируя. Грязная тарелка после еды будет лежать на столе , пока ты сам не переставишь ее за соседний стол. Официантка ее уносить не будет. Единственное, что она сделает быстро - принесет счет. Уточню, что мы жили в отеле 6 дней, поэтому это не было стечение обстоятельств. СПА здесь также сплошное РАЗОЧАРОВАНИЕ. Во-первых, раздевалки общие, переполненные гостями, тесно. Думаю , что это мелочи и скоро ждет потрясающий массаж. Но и тут мимо. Мы выбрали Deep массаж и попросили делать максимально сильно. В итоге нас 1,5 часа просто мазали маслом и гладили неповоротливые тетеньки, потели и пыхтели. Это было НЕПРИЯТНО. Назвать их массажистами я не могу. Был опыт массажа в разных странах, но такого не было нигде. В целом нужно быть готовым , что персонал здесь работать не хочет и не любит когда его об этом просят. Всячески покажут свой характер, свое недовольное лицо и так далее. Также персонал может спокойно общаться и шутить , крича друг другу через всю улицу , пока не попросишь сохранять тишину. У них нет понимания, что на курорте гости не хотят слышать шум. Нужна здоровая конкуренция и мотивация для персонала.

I’ve stayed at other One & Only hotels that really blew my mind. The Cape Town One & Only highly disappointed in service! We ordered room service multiple times which never arrived. They never answered the phone, the sometimes answer if you use the “WhatsAp” service they use. The spa was nice. Breakfast was good but our room was nothing like it showed on the website.

Unser Aufenthalt im One&Only war ausgezeichnet. Das Personal ist äusserst zuvorkommend und aufmerksam. Die Zimmer sind modern renoviert, geräumig und sehr sauber. Besonders hervorzuheben ist das unglaubliche Frühstücksbuffet, was neben zahlreichen internationalen auch lokale Speisen anbietet. Die Lage an der Waterfront ist für Touristen sehr empfehlenswert, denn es ist alles zu Fuss erreichbar. Ausserdem haben wir uns zu jeder Zeit sehr sicher im Hotel und der Hotelanlage gefühlt.

Luxurious property. Friendly, welcoming and helpful staff. Gold status not recognised until prompted. Despite the breakfast buffet being high quality and huge, the busy breakfast room (with sticky tables) reminds you this is a big hotel. Nobu restaurant superb. Other food only 8/10.
