Booked for 4 days. On arrival was informed no access to the main house, deck (with views) pool etc. When I pointed out the hotel listing states pool etc I was arrogantly told "no you are mistaken". When I demonstrated the site the owner said "if you look at the room you picked there is no photo of the pool in the room". It turns out the main house was booked out to one group of travellers and they requested no other guests have access. The room was ok, basic...air con not working, the managers general suggestion was turn it on and off, when I pointed out this was still not working, the manager pretty was like oh well and started ignoring us. Finally we had a cab service booked a few hours after check out, I had initially assumed as the guest house services were advertised we would hang by the pool and leave the bags at reception, but no we were instructed to leave at checkout exactly. The owner was nice till he wasn't and then he was just downright petty and uninterested in offering what was listed on the site or resolving problems.

The property was beautiful. Very comfortable and the view was amazing. Needs a little updating and supply of shampoo and conditioner and sugar. Would definitely stay there again. We stayed in the honeymoon suite. Very spacious

Lovely views and a welcoming host. No housekeeping - thin towels and not replaced. Overall, just a tired property.

After unexpectedly being locked out of Townsville due to COVID, we found ourselves scrambling to find accommodation for 9 people, and came across Pete's place...what a find! Pete was brilliant from the word go, answering all our txt messages promptly, and happily accommodating all our needs. He greeted us on our arrival and couldn't have been more helpful - terrific fellow! The house was fantastic - airy, bright, modern, spotlessly clean, with a huge deck and verandahs off all 4 bedrooms, all with THE BEST VIEWS! The perfect place to relax and enjoy the ever-changing moods of the ocean, its islands, and the surrounding hills. Ensuite and air-conditioning in each of the bedrooms, well-equipped kitchen - the only recommendation would be larger/more couches (only seating for 4) but there were plenty of dining chairs, outdoor seating and kitchen stools to sit on! Cannonvale and Airlie Beach are both within a short drive (or walk if you're keen!), but the position of the house itself has you well out of the hustle and bustle, in peaceful surroundings. Would absolutely recommend staying here!

This is a shared property, misleading advertising and there is no use of pool or spa. I did not see any helicopter or any of the amenities listed. Apart from the view there is nothing exciting about this property!

Disgraceful. Not a hotel. Travelling and indicated our gps timing said we would arrive 10.24pm. Hotel staff said they will not book us in after 10pm and will not refund our accommodation fee. They clearly don’t want to be in HOTEL business of dealing with travellers itinerary. What are we meant to do...speed up above limit on one of Australia’s most dangerous single lane undivided highways. Now I need to go through the process of cancelling credit card payments. Nasty people. AVOID.

It has the most beautiful view. The property is a bit far from the city center and take about half hour to walk along the beach or catch taxi which costs $18 each way. Pete is a great guy, very friendly and helpful but the property needs some upgrade. One thing was that we were not expecting and not told when we booked that we have to share the property with another person. My heart sank when we were told that there’s someone else is living in the same house. The villa has 4 separate bedrooms and one kitchen and lounge area, we didn’t go out of our bedroom the first day because of knowing someone else was there too. Lucky it was only one night but I think that we should have been told. If we knew of a shared property we wouldn’t have booked. Someone owes us an apology, we love ******* but was very disappointed that they let this happen. We would still recommend the property to friends if anyone want to go as a big group. The property is very basic but Pete had made it very pleasant. Thank you Pete for helping us hiring the car.

Spectacular view and comfortable accommodation. Would be a lovely spot for a small group to book out the entire place..
