I really don't understand why this motel gets so many one star reviews. Yes, the decour is dated, and has seen some use over the years. However, you get a very large room with a fully equiped kitchenette, all the appliances work like they are suposed to, the staff is very friendly and most important, it is very clean. Banff is a 15 minute drive away. Don't give it a one star, it the place doesn't deserve it. What do you expect in this price range?

This place is a ghost bungalow. All rooms stinks so bad with cigarettes smell. They have table fan. No water in washroom shower. They don't do any maintenance which means they don't change any bedding. They're not even worth $30/day and yet they charge more than $100/day which is total waste of money.

I booked a room. Within 20 minutes, the hotel called me stating that I will not make the check-in time so I am not able to stay with them. They told me to contact ******* (who I booked it through) to work out canceling/refunding my payment. I contacted *******, who said there is nothing they can do. ******* tried contacting the hotel but this was unsuccessful. Overall, I booked a room and was told I was unable to stay there (for a legitimate reason) but both the hotel and ******* took no responsibility for canceling or refunding my payment. I paid for a service that was not provided to me.

Room lighting was almost non-existent. One recesed light at room entry and one small table lamp at far wall. Light was inadequate to read maps, etc. No AC and no heat. Opened window for ventilation in daytime and closed at nigt to conserve heat. Promised to clean room but did not. Room so small hardly any room to walk around bed. Ice was a chore to get -- had to crush it myself. Everything seemed old. Shower was a slow dribble but we managed. Got new towels only after asking. Cups were not sanitized with plastic wrapping. Owner/managers seemed not to care.

Stayed here for nearly a week! Sure, the building is very old, the TV did not work, some of the towels were stained, the carpet was dirty, etc, but you get what you pay for. If all you want is a bed to sleep in and a shower, this is a good option. If you want a 5-star experience, look elsewhere.

I really liked that there was a bench outside the door so I could smoke outside. I liked that it was clean. There were not any facecloths but I was able to use a hand towel. The beds were comfortable. It is an older building but met our needs of just having a place to sleep for the night. The girl at the front desk was very good. Thank you

As soon as we walked into the room we saw a big roach on the wall. We thought it was fine and only 1 bug but then when we opened the sheets of the bed we saw 2 more bugs, 1 in each bed. We were extremely disappointed with the state of the room and we had to book another hotel for the 3 nights we were staying. Sadly we had to sleep in there for a night. When we woke up we saw 3 more roaches. The building had tons of mice traps everywhere, the building is very dirty and there was no staff in it. The furniture is very dated and the bed is uncomfortable. Would not recommend even for the cheap price.

Our room (mostly the bathroom), was quite dirty. The surfaces were clean, but the rest hadn’t been cleaned in some time. The fan had dust hanging off of it, the light switch was dirty, caulk peeling, and black (not supposed to be), walls covered in marks. One mark above the light switch looked like blood. It’s the cheapest hotel in the Bow Valley, for a reason. (Although not cheap). Nothing appears to have been updated in 30 years, which is fine, if it were maintained and clean.
