Clean. Can’t fault the cleanliness but it’s a three star masquerading as a five star. You will need to get up at 0600 to ensure you have a seat at the pool otherwise you will be price gouged $75 for a cabana. Want to visit a restaurant? You will wait 2 hours minimum unless you hired a butler. With the exception of the steakhouse which was an additional $500, the food is bang average.Those people who are drunk in the hot tub whilst you wait for a table… They will get a table before you because they have a butler. We went to the Mexican night and were told we couldn’t sit at the table with our buffet food as it was reserved. We spent 5k and frankly the treatment was shabby. It’s a price gouge from beginning to end.

Highlights: Great staff, prime location and they extended us to 2pm checkout that we really appreciated. Lowlights: This was our 3rd time staying in this property and we felt it is going downhill. Leak from ceiling of the room… Waste water smell in corridors in the west side of building… Expired sauces on tables of the restaurants close to beach… Expectation is that you are either staying in suites or will be treated as 2nd class citizens (this was not the case when we stayed there before). For example, they charge $80 per day per kabana and you can book it one day before but if you stay in suits, you can book it several days in advance, so all prime spots are booked before the booking is opened up to you! In another example, restaurants are advertised as “first come first served” but if you are staying in a suite you can book them so a lot of people are lined up to enter while “first class” citizen come and bypass the line! We saw a lot of customers frustrated by this. Overall, if we go back we will only book in suites… the leadership culture is changed in a way that if you are not in a suite, you will get a sub-standard service.

La atención y servicio del personal fue siempre excelente. La comida fue extraordinaria, desde snacks como cenas y comidas formales en los restaurantes. Las instalaciones y habitación muy bien también. Lo malo: pocos camastros que no tienen costo extra, por lo que si llegabas después de las 8:30 am era difícil encontrar camastros en la alberca o en la playa y terminas pagando 80USD que no se incluyen en la tarifa All-Inclusive. Menos camas, más camastros. Los restaurantes tienen poca capacidad (aprox 14-20 mesas) por lo que las listas de espera son de una a dos horas o más. Vale la pena la espera por los platillos y menús que son excelentes, pero deberían tener aplicación de reservas u otro método para que puedas comer sin esperar tanto tiempo para ingresar

fue increible, e llegado en varias ocaciones y esta vez es de las que mas me a gustado, para iniciar me hicieron un up grade maravilloso, el servicio del restaurant 7 con la chica NAHOMI, super linda y amable, el servicio de playa y alberca ALE, nos atendio como celebridades, en fin no acabo de ver la atencion que ponen los chef ANTONIO en el desayuno, la calidad de alimentos excelente, la alberca calientita por la temporada, todo excelente, ya quiero regresar

The spa-like atmosphere overall on the property was wonderful. Having so many restaurant options on site made choosing difficult. They offer so many activities - the entertainment director was excellent. There were shows and parties every evening. All the staff were super friendly and helpful. We attended a wedding at the resort. The wedding coordinator was very hands on and made sure everything was super special! Lunch time had two cookout options as well as restaurant offerings. The breakfast buffet was huge with all the fruits and juices, made to order omelets and pasteries. Even a chocolate fountain . . .for breakfast. Wonderful!

This was our third visit. So disappointing, I believe they are now part of the Fiesta Americana hotel chain, the quality has really gone downhill. The food was terrible, the drinks were terrible. We had a $200 room credit and 3 times they tried to charge us for the spa charges that should have been covered. They placed a "hold" on your card for incidental charges, we didn't use it and I'm having issues getting the charge reversed. Most of the staff are very attentive and pleasant but there were some, specifically at the spa reception and check out, that were downright grouchy. Believe me, we are not people that complain and made it our 3rd trip since we loved the place but it's not what it used to be. We won't be returning.

Incredible beach and pool area, service, hospitality - would give all of these 10/10. We were upgraded to a nicer suite on our arrival which included complimentary butler service and daily cabanas, also 10/10. Food for breakfast and lunch was great, but dinner was understandably better at restaurants outside of the property so would give food 8/10. Would give entertainment a 7/10 because there was no night club availability and most evening events ended by 1030-11pm. Felt very safe on the property and during taxi drives to restaurants off property. Overall, would definitely come back again. Excellent experience.

Our 2nd time at Live Aqua and coincidentally got the same room. Might have asked for higher floor. Super comfy beds, wonderful restaurants, nice pools and beach (not all have nice palm trees like this). Small enough that you get to know the great staff and servers plus other guests. Fun aerobics class in pool (but Ricardo really works you!). Easy to get to/ set up transportation ahead ($69 included both ways tip). Great place!

The food and drinks at this resort are very very good for an all inclusive. There is a lot of upselling which is to be expected. The pool area is the only negative at this resort. The resort was booked when we went and it was impossible to find a chair or any place to set your belongings anywhere near the pool area. To combat this we had to rent a cabana every single day we were there which added about $600 worth of room charges to our bill. To make matters worse the cabana rental system at the pool towel hut is a combination of broken promises, writing stuff down on a piece of paper and long lines to wait in. Aside from that, our butlers were amazing and completely made our stay wonderful. If we didn't get the Aqua club package we would not have had as much enjoyment as we did. We had ants in our room, troubles with the towel hut, issues with the purchase of Coco Bongo tickets all of which were resolved by our butlers. The two recommendation that I would make to Live Aqua would be to sort out the towel hut and cabana reservation system, and to offer premium liquors at all the bars for Aqua Club members. We shouldn't have had to go up to the 5th floor to get premium liquors during our stay.

We had the best massages at the spa. Great service at the restaurants and we never had to wait to be seated. Hector, the bar tender is amazing! He made our evening experience amazing with our crafted cocktails. Alajandra, the server on the beach also is amazing!

Our stay at Live Aqua was simply amazing. The facility itself is very nice, the view from our room was spectacular, and the pool / cabana area was great to relax in and soak up the sun. Staff was very helpful for anything that we needed. Food options were wonderful and very diverse for all being in one location. Will definitely recommend to family and friends and look forward to coming back.

We really liked staying here! We paid for the butler service and it was worth it! Scheduled coffee, reservations, someone to answer all my questions, Stephany was awesome!! Massage was great, beach is very well groomed, pool staff was great! Restaurants are okay, breakfast was great and the grilled chicken stand was phenomenal! We will definitely be back!!
