Wingate by Wyndham Calgary South

The staff were very helpful. The bed and pillows amazing. I want to know brands so I can get my own. We had to checkout early due to coming in contact with Covid and there were very understanding and did not charge me for the second night. Wish we could have stayed. The only thing I would score them lower on was the restaurant they used for room service. The food was so-so.

Excellent location to shopping and events on southside. Enjoyable pub and live entertainment. Clean, quiet, safe. Usually love the breakfast however this weekend the wingate was trying a new breakfast sandwich instead of self serve eggs. This meant no hot breakfast for anyone who doesn’t eat sausage/meat. Please go back to self serve hot breakfast!

Stayed 3 days as I worked an event at Spruce meadows. Staff was very accommodating and friendly. Loved the location for dining options and short commute to the grounds. We stayed in a 2 king kitchenette suite which was so roomy with a large dining table we used for work. King beds were so comfortable. Would definitely stay here again.

Overall, great experience. Initially had a first floor reserved and it turned out not available when we arrived. But staff put us near the elevator on higher floor for my disabled mom. It worked out well. Very clean rooms and quite large. Friendly staff. Breakfast was always fresh and well stocked each morning. Highly recommend and definitely will return.

Loved the Family Suite here - spacious room with king beds - loved this as we were travelling with a dog - they were accommodating for our pet and understanding - we had a quick check in- all public spaces are clean and well kept even the carpeted stairwells! Well maintained breakfast area with 2 attendants keeping the supplies up. The pool was clean and the hot tub has good jets and both had good chemical balance because my kids didn’t get red sore eyes or we didn’t come out smelling like chlorine. We recommend and will stay again. - this is a hidden gem - tucked away south Calgary - near easy access to shopping across the way but tucked away in a quiet part. I’m

I like the area as it’s too quiet. There’s 1 staff who caught my attention who is not helpful and never smile. I met her on the dining area for breakfast 15 September 2023 our first breakfast in the hotel. As I came from the Middle East and experience most of the hotel facilities which is mostly a 5 star service. Sorry for expecting so much . As most of the staff in the hotel are accommodating in the Middle East.

I was a bit disappointed in what was offered at this site. There were no cups besides 3 disposable ones in our room, even though we had a suite so I expected more. The breakfast was slim and tasted awful, plus it again was disposable cutlery which to be frank, was real frustrating when trying to eat a waffle. I paid a lot of money for my room and was very underwhelmed. Would not be my first, or even second choice next time/
