Chateau Bleu is not a 5 star hotel but there's a warm homey feel to it that makes you want to stay longer. It's like a huge bed and breakfast with nice added amenities. That said, I thoroughly enjoyed my 3 day 2 night stay with my husband and two young children. We stayed at the main building of the hotel. We arrived 30 minutes before check-in time but they gladly welcomed us to our room since they were able to prepare it early. The staff are accomodating and kind. The management is thoughtful about our needs. The room was not big but the benefit of staying in the building is that the service was fast. We ordered for food, ice buckets and other needs and it was taken to us in record time. The room is also very clean. I also love the fountains and well maintained garden around the pool. The hotel itself is not that big but the pool is very large. The temperature of the pool is just right and the surroundings complements the entire feel of the place - you have a view of Mt. Makiling and at night, a blanket of stars to look up to. There's also a hot spring indoor jacuzzi. A bit hot but tolerable - even for my smallest kid. We checked in during the Holy Week so breakfast was a hybrid of ala carte and buffet. The hotel is a stone throw away from Calamba City and we went to church and museo ni Rizal. There is also a lot of places to visit given the University Town of UP Los Banos.
訪訪客The staff is polite and attentive to your needs. There is ample parking at the back of the building. That’s about the only good things about it. The wifi is fast and strong if you’re at the lobby and even at the hallways of the second floor, but the wifi gets weak and later disappears inside the room. Using your own mobile data is not helpful because the signal is 3G. The LTE signal is in and out. The standard room is quite basic. No cable or satellite TV service. Only a TV Plus digital TV receiver and a small Hanabishi LCD TV. The bathroom has the usual amenities but no water heater. That’s OK for the hot and humid season, but not in the cooler months. There is a towel, soap and tissue roll. The worst part is that the national highway is in front of the hotel. There is absolutely no soundproofing of any kind. Starting midnight, all sorts of road noise wakes me up several times. The passing of vehicles with modified mufflers of jeepneys, motorcycle and cars that make it noisy and trucks who honk very loudly woke me up many times. Even my colleagues who are in the rooms on the inner part of are awoken by the same noises. This is cause for poor quality rest and sleep. We will never come back here.
