It would have been nice to have known there would be building works happening (drilling etc) in the complex. Came here for a bit of R&R with the kids. The bedrooms were not very clean, carpets dirty with stains. Very dusty, lots of sneezing happening at bedtime, dust ++ in the bedrooms. There were cockroaches crawling up the walls, mostly came out at night.

不幸的是，我上次在邊緣公寓的住宿令人失望！我們和來自新南威爾斯的家人一起去那裡看我兒子參加澳新軍團日遊行。我們為 4 個成人入住的公寓很臭，尤其是第二間臥室！而且每天晚上外面的燈光都照亮了這個房間，讓人很難入睡！床位要求未滿足！我和我丈夫不得不睡單人床！家具陳舊而且不像我以前那麼現代！ 我們對地下停車場的遙控器從來沒有用過，我們的車必須停在外面！我給管理員發了訊息，但每次我經過辦公室時，辦公室都關門了！他給我發了一條訊息，說他在大樓裡，但我們整天都在外面觀光！在我們最後一天更換電池後，遙控器仍然無法工作！做了一些洗滌&棉絨隔間已滿，並且看起來從未被清潔過！烘乾機噪音很大，我認為滾筒正在刮擦側面。 從積極的方面來說，公寓面積寬敞，配備了所有基本必需品！抱歉，我的回饋不是最好的！

It has 2 outdoor pools and spacious air-conditioned apartments. COMMENT In June 2023 We found our apartment 205 for 10 days to NOTt to be of 4star standard at all. PRO: The bedlinen and bathroom towels were very clean and of good quality. The air conditioning worked. The ceiling fans worked. The apartment was spacious. The fridge worked but bottom of door shelving missing. Inconvenient if you wanted to store water bottles etc. CONS: ” Each unit at the Edge has a flat-screen TV”., which was NOT working and had to be re-connected by guest. “Free Wi-Fi” NOT available in unit 205 – we were informed by office unless you wanted to stand outside of office area to connect. Apartment was dark, - lighting in all rooms inadequate and woefully dim and outdated. Lighting in laundry area was badly positioned – and here there were no instructions on how machine worked. *Vertical Blinds in poor state and need maintenance or replacement. *All doors (screen and glass sliding) need maintenance to run smoothly. *The furniture was inappropriate (apart from 2 leather sofas) and badly arranged. *The ambience was noisy. The decor throughout the apartment – wasn’t.!! Except 2 pictures hung almost at ceiling. – 1 small mirror in dark hallway., and a wall clock. (All 15 years or more in age) *No rugs or furnishings to soften the décor or the echo sounding throughout the apartment. *Coffee table in bad state. *Dining table satisfactory but serviced by 2 different types of chairs. *The bathroom needed maintenance/upgrade (and pictures I have taken show much damage to outer base of shower, mould along the wall.) *The kitchens come equipped with very basic essentials. A microwave and dishwasher., utensils for cooking on very old worn stove. “Some units have balconies with sea or mountain views”, others, like ours, at 205 had overgrown foliage with NO views. The Edge Apartments Cairns has an outdoor entertainment area with barbecue facilities and free on-site private parking. *The Rain forestation Nature Park is 11 miles from The Edge Apartments. Kuranda Scenic Railway and Skyrail Rainforest Cableway are only a 10-minute drive away.

We had five family members. We reached Cairns at around 9 am and asked for early check in ! While declined to accet early check in , then asked to keep the luggages / waiting room , but refused as there is no such facilities ! This is not good

We booked the 3 bedroom penthouse. It was not as per the photos. Big unit with a nice view but not penthouse quality. The mattresses were awful, no mattress protectors on some beds, thin blankets. Dirty outdoor area, filthy fans, lots of ants and cockroaches. Broken soap dishes, towel rails and toilet roll holder. The garage opener had to be repaired, then replaced and still did not work properly so we resorted to parking on the street. We had an industrial sized no frills shampoo and body wash provided. No individual soap or nice things as per the photos or as you might expect in a penthouse. One towel each and no face washer. The white leather couch was filthy and the outdoor wicker furniture was worn and breaking in places. It was an ok unit but definitely nothing special and nothing like the photos on the official website. I feel it was overpriced for what we got. Finally, there was a lot of aircraft noise in the apartment we stayed in. No noise from the backpackers next door.

Great place to stay nice size rooms, clean and comfortable

The property is overall decent and It is situated in a decent location, however the building design lets in down. The fan for the aircon units sits in the indoor covered area which blows hot air when it’s already hot enough in Cairns.

The apartment was really nice, well-equipped, and comfortable. The absolute deal breaker for us was the lack of Wi Fi coupled with only intermittent mobile phone signal. This resulted in us being several times huddled together outside under umbrellas at night trying to book tours and manage flights and hire car bookings... Would have given excellent rating but for this! Our group had 4 mobiles, 1 laptop, 2 tablets and 2 ereaders - which were mostly useless bricks at this location.
