Nice period property, quite comfortable if a bit dated - which adds to its character anyway! Small cosy bar with typical barfood menu. It's a pity the restaurant was closed. Breakfast hot food made to order, buffet food quite basic. This is my second time back, I will visit again when in the area!

As it has been 25 yrs 6 months since our last stay (wedding reception) we found the hotel still good except the water was at scalding point even the cold taps ran hot, making the shower unusable, could not get the water to run cooler only scalding, cold basin tap also hot when cleaning teeth, from a safety point of view the scalding water from hot taps can only be an accident waiting to.happen.

I found this hotel, through chance, on the internet. I was looking for a hotel close to Heathrow but not directly around the airport perimeter. This hotel ticked every box - around 20 mins drive to T5 long stay carpark . We opted to eat at the hotel in the evening - excellent, and the breakfast ( which was included in the rate) was very good too. Car parking was plentiful and the grounds around the hotel were well kept . Would definitely recommend and stay there again.

Lovely hotel in a quiet location. Comfy beds, good food, nice staff. Only three downsides. Water pressure was low and difficult to wash hair well, no phone in room so had to go down to reception to ask for room service, taxi bookings etc and there is no air conditioning. Obviously not the hotel’s fault how hot it was but one small fan and restricted window opening made for a room that was far too hot and a very uncomfortable sleep.

We love this hotel. We got married here 20 years ago and it is still just as wonderful.
The gardens are beautiful and so quiet.
The rooms are lovely.
The staff are brilliant.
If it had air con in the rooms then it would be absolutely perfect!
Overall, we would definitely stay again.

Very pleasant and comfortable stay. Staff very friendly and attentive. Lounge meal was satisfactory.
Would prefer to have more powerful shower with flexible shower head.

Seating in our room was saggy and in need of either replacement or refurbishment. Other than this, our stay was excellent and breakfast choices were a highlight during our four night stay.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. A bedroom problem was quickly resolved. Breakfast was excellent with friendly and efficient service. We had 2 dinners - very tasty. The whole hotel was spotlessly clean and the grounds were lovely to walk in.
