The property was clean, with nice decor, an indoor pool for kids and adults, and a newer building!
The majority of the staff was great. Their food was not great, but it was edible.
Besides that, it was a horrible stay, because they had bed bugs.
I think they should do much more than 25,000 points based on the circumstances.
The day it happened the manager had a bad attitude as if we caused the situation, rushed us, and reluctantly offered us a measly 10,000 points.
Our 34th anniversary was completely ruined. We missed out on half of our planned activities.
We had to cancel some of our plans because our entire suitcase was opened on the bed and exposed to the bedbugs. We can't go on a boat trip to the beach without swimwear.
To top it off, we had to wear the same clothes for 2 days. The night that was planned for our anniversary required semi-formal attire, but we had to wear what we had on, which was NOT the required attire.
My husband got bit on his face, and the marks are still on his face. I took pictures and videos of the bedbugs.
Our concern was taking bedbugs home with us, which was heartbreaking, sad, and stressful. I've never been so stressed and sad on a leisure trip!
Around 5 hours after we checked out, I HAD A STROKE!
We feel like Holiday Inn Express & Suites should at least provide us with enough points for a few days.
