Terrific property, service and amenities. Suites are lovely, so is The Club Floor. Breakfast room downstairs is fulsome and the space tranquil. Can’t beat the service from Concierges Christian and Pablo, Butler Nelson (supremely professional guys who have worked there for years/decades) the bellman and housekeeping teams also are fantastic. Twice over the course of seven nights I had an small problem in my room and the maintenance team was there in 10-15 minutes to quickly rectify. Having first visited about 20 years ago and returned several times, this property continues to be very well managed and operated. Kudos to the GM and the entire Intercon BA team. As an aside, two extraordinary evenings spent dining (again) at Don Julio and at Aramburu (recommended by Christian)
Average hotel in a very busy part of the city. Beds are small and our room was never cleaned in our 3 night stay as they don’t arrive until late afternoon when we were already back to our room. Small room and the black decor did it no favours at all ! Not sure who designed it like this. Towels could do with replacing. No Iron in the room either. Reception staff are not very friendly. Limited choice at breakfast and this could be greatly improved. However cocktails are good quality and we enjoyed the outdoor sunbed and seating area. Disappointed overall.
We were very excited to stay at Hotel Casa Lucia, but unfortunately, the experience wasn’t even close to 5 stars. At check-in, there was zero recognition of Hilton Diamond status and no mention of any benefits or breakfast. We had received an email prior to arrival and had sent our requests for a spa appointment. No mention of this either. I had to bring all of this up and then the lady had to call to see if anything had been confirmed. Then I had to get clarification on Diamond benefits (still unsure what exactly they are). When we got to our room (601), it was like we entered a refrigerator. The AC was set to 10 degrees C if you can believe it. The room was tiny, with a small window facing the windows and balconies of another not-so-nice building. Not the view of Buenos Aires we were hoping for. All of that aside, the condition of the room was atrocious. The carpet was stained all throughout the entryway and next to the bed, and there were scuff marks on the walls. The bathroom had the smallest shower I’d ever seen, with one of those plastic white trays for a floor. When showering, water would spray out of a large open gap by the glass door and soak the bathroom floor. The shower gel, shampoo, and conditioner were in large plastic bottles that were crumpled and disheveled because they didn’t include the pumps and previous guests had squeezed the hell out of the bottles already. Room 601 was also right next to the cleaning closet where workers would go in and out all day, chatting and slamming the door. Lastly, when I tried calling down to the front desk to mention these issues, on the 1st try I was on hold for 5 minutes and then was hung up on. The 2nd and 3rd tries they just put me on hold and never picked up. Finally on the 4th try someone picked up. After going through these issues, the person just told me a manager would call me back. No one ever called back. Sadly, not surprising at all. This is a 3 star motel (if that) masquerading as a 5 star hotel. It’s a shame because the lobby/bar area is really beautiful. Service is embarrassing, and don’t even count on any additional effort or a slightly better room if you have Hilton status. Do yourself a favor and book the Four Seasons or Park Hyatt. At the prices Casa Lucia is charging (even when using points), it’s just highway robbery.
Ficamos encantados com a qualidade do atendimento do checkIn ao checkout. Dependências super organizadas, funcionários prestativos e atenciosos. Restaurante surpreendente! Recomendo!
This is a beautiful old world hotel. The marble and gold leafing, especially in the bar, is spectacular. The breakfast buffet is very traditional and provides fruit, pastries, ham and cheese and eggs and bacon. We had a spa treatment which was very nice - the jacuzzi was very relaxing. My wife wasn’t feeling well and at midnight I asked the concierge if there was a nearby pharmacy. The concierge went to the pharmacy and picked up the medication for us - at midnight! Top notch service.
訪訪客用戶A lovely boutique hotel in the Retiro area near Barrio Norte. Modern renovations in the rooms and public area but retains som charm from the past. Rooms were spacious, well maintained, very comfortable. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. Particularly the folks at the desk. Beautiful park just in front of hotel and close to major shopping areas and sites. An excellent value for money.
訪訪客We had a good experience overall here, the room was nice, fluffy towels, close to shops, breakfast was very nice and good value ...But it was the staff who made our stay so great. We stayed here at the beginning and then again at the end of our 3 week trip. They booked a taxi for us arriving from the UK which was so reassuring to have in advance. They checked us in early when we arrived. Another colleague explained the currency situation- very helpful. And finally they helped us out in a bit of a crisis. My husband left his mobile in the taxi on the way to the airport when we were leaving Argentina. I called the hostel who had booked the taxi for us and the wonderful woman there contacted the driver and he came back to the airport- you never saw 2 more relieved people! Luckily we had given ourselves extra time at the airport so we were still in plenty of time. I'm so glad we stayed here rather than a hotel. The lonely planet said it was as good as a mid range hotel and it has a lot more going for it with all the help, hints and tips from the staff.
SshawndaikiLocation, location, location.
Excellent Punto cafe across the road, a Western Union branch round the corner, police station 2-3 blocks down, lotsa grocery stores around you, walking distance to San Telmo market, location is Babel Studio’s greatest advantage.
The other thing about location would be Argentinian late night party culture, you may not get a good nights sleep.
Clean and spacious room, reliable AC, hot water and pressure, it ticks the boxes for what one would expect in a stay. The only improvement I would hope for is to adjust the shower head holder, I’m 6 ft and can reach it comfortably but for someone shorter it might be a stretch.
Also the monochrome design is modern and attractive but the white lighting makes the room feel harsh on the eyes. Warm lighting would do wonders for the space.
We did not have a smooth check in experience and was stranded outside for 15 min until another guest let us in as they were leaving. Would be good to receive check in info prior to the stay as the reception is not manned round the clock.
Overall a pleasant stay and highly recommend.
