M 廣場飯店(M-Square Hotel)

The receptionist was extremely rude and unhelpful. During our stay, a fire alarm went off, and several scared guests crowded in the lobby. He did nothing to ease our stress and if anything exacerbated it - he dismissed everyone’s worries as if we were crazy for being concerned, refused to call the fire brigade, refused to call the manager, and at one point left the lobby full of scared and confused guests because he was “stressed” and “needed to take a smoke break.” We explained to him multiple times that he had to call the fire brigade for us, as no guests spoke Hungarian and thus could not communicate with the firemen. He continued to refuse, stating that it was a crime to call the fire brigade (50-2000 euro fine, to be exact) when there was no fire. We asked how he was certain there was no fire, and he replied that the alarm went off due to steam coming from a shower. We asked him how he knew this, as he was not a fireman, and he snapped back that we were not firemen either. He continued to refuse to call the fire brigade even as we showed him the employee handbook and found the Hungarian fire safety laws and read them to him out loud to demonstrate that there was no fine. Overall, we would not stay here again. He was rude, condescending, inconsiderate, inhospitable, and should be fired. The hotel should strongly consider updating their fire safety instructions for employees, as this young man’s understanding of fire safety protocols and Hungarian law was lacking.

위치는 일단 베스트. 친절한 직원. 시설은 가격대비 적절합니다. 갑자기 쏟아진 소나기에 빗물이 새긴 했는데, 나보다 더 당황하는 직원 때문에 크게 컴플레인을 하긴 힘들었네요. 방을 옮겨 준다고 했는데, 사실 비도 그치고 늦은 밤 짐 옮기기도 귀찮아서 그냥 지냈습니다. 주어진 환경에서 나름 최선을 다하는 호텔이긴 합니다.

Tolle Lage, alles gut erreichbar! Nette Cafés und Kneipen in der Umgebung, sowie auch Nachtleben, falls gesucht. Das Dreibettzimmer war riesig, die Betten bequem, das Bad modern, das Frühstück toll. Und das Personal sprach gutes Englisch und war hilfsbereit.

Great location, nice and clean hotel. Towel rail didn't work so towels didn't dry properly, teabags not replenished every day Requested extra pillows but never received them Minor *******

The location is good. The room was nice,but was not clean for 2 days. Some if the things was not working. I was asking to speak to the manager and was rejected. I am traveling to Budapest every 3 months but first time in this one.

The location was absolutely perfect for our stay as we walked to all the spots we wanted to visit... Directly off the M-Square where the Airport bus stops and departs, it couldn't have been more convenient... The Hotel was very clean and brightly lit, with staff very friendly and helpful. We were very fortunate that we had a room on the top floor which had a terrace which was great to rest our weary legs after walking the whole of Budapest...

Wonderful place to stay in Budapest. Spacious, modern well-appointed room with all the amenities. Very convenient location to all the sites. Walked everywhere. Dining options right outside the property. Great value and highly recommend.

I had a great 2 night stay in downtown Budapest ( on the Pest side), near all the famous sights. Easy walking distance to great restaurants and all the bus stops. Fabulous hotel.
