比奇公寓(Beech House)

Lovely room, very clean, but like other people, we had problems getting into the building on several occasions, one of which was at 00:30 in the morning which caused considerable distress. There was a 24-hour helpline and the gentleman that spoke to us was helpful and sent someone out to help us. However, the fact that there was no backup key in the lockbox, and that the app is the only way to get in (bar someone coming out) and is clearly not 100% reliable is not something I would risk again. Considering these issues, none of which were our fault, I asked for a partial refund (as I was happy with the room) but was refused. I suppose this makes sense considering how many people have difficulty with the access. I would therefore not recommend staying here for these reasons, unless the check-in process is changed.

Very nice top-floor suite with a full kitchenette and bathroom, both renovated. Comfortable bed and nice hardwood floors. The downside is that there was no air conditioner, nor a screen in the window, so I could not keep it open for most of the day (even a bird flew in and pierced my package of nuts while I was gone!). Also, if you're on the 3rd floor (4th in North America, as ground floor is the 1st floor), you'll have to walk up 4 flights of stairs, which is difficult with heavy luggage. My room was also facing the street, so there was a bit of street noise, but less at night and earplugs totally blocked it. I would stay here again, as it's one of the better short-term rentals in Bristol, but I'd probably stay on a lower floor facing the back.

Be careful with your booking, we were very much looking forward to our weekend stay to attend a wedding and despite the room being available at the time of booking, a stay before we were due to check in has extended their stay and the company have chose their stay over ours, despite booking 3 months ago and the payment already made and sent for our stay. Wouldn’t recommended this place based on the quick change up and the ease they had in cancelling our booking without helping to find a suitable alternative.

The accommodation was spacious and well equipped but the bedroom small with a small double bed with a very soft mattress. The furniture was dated, mis matched and some of it too large for the size of the suite - particularly the very large wardrobe in bedroom. To describe the suite as a 'garden view' (at additional cost) was a little exaggerated as it was basement with a small sitting area outside and view was largely of walls and neighbouring property. The communication about the property was poor. The check in was on line with a key provided via app which was OK. However parking is in a property on the opposite side of a busy road and while there is a parking area by Beech House it was barrier controlled with no access given. This meant we had to carry cases etc some distance. While the parking was fine it would have been helpful to at least be able to pull up to the front of the property at check in and check out. We had a problem with hot water on the first night and morning as the boiler had tripped. There is no information pack in the property about heating etc. There is no out of hours help other than security. Despite leaving messages as directed I had to wait until office opened to get problem resolved. Access to a 24 hour number for help would have been useful. Situation of property good.

We had an excellent stay here in a one bedroom apartment. Very well equipped, nice decor, smart entry hall and comfortable. Parking just across the street in a private car park. Easy to walk to Clifton and into the city centre. Marks and Spencer food 2 minute walk on Whiteladies road. The virtual key worked well, it was nice not having to think about a card. Some reviews said it didn’t work but as long as you download the app and do as directed before you arrive it works perfectly well. Don’t forget your phone charger through! I had prompt replies to my emails and spoke to a nice guy at the Urban when I had some questions.

Booked one of the Mews houses for us, our daughter and her boyfriend to stay in on the night of the night of her graduation. It was perfect. 2 bedrooms plenty large enough, both can be set up with large double bed or twins. One is ensuite and there's a separate bathroom. Robes, slippers and L'Occitane toiletries provided. The bedrooms and utility room are downstairs with a good sized open plan living area upstairs. Fairly well equipped kitchen as far as I could tell. ( we didn't cook but I checked). Furnishings and fittings are obviously fairly new and everything is good quality and the whole place was spotless. In short we absolutely couldn't fault it. Our only regret? That we weren't staying longer. For anyone looking for accommodation near the University of Bristol it's close and I'd absolutely recommend this place!

I've always liked Beech House, but I wish they hadn't changed their check-in procedure. Instead of just picking the key from a lockbox you have to download an app on your smart phone, email photo ID documents (no one there to check my identity anyway?) and generally do a lot more faff. By the end of the e-check in procedure I counted 10 emails in my inbox relating to my booking. When I arrived at the room, the app 'key' didn't work and I had to call someone and then retrieve the key from the lockbox (like I would have done anyway), so I wasted the half an hour that I spent at my laptop emailing, and downloading the app and just generally doing 'stuff' before checking in. Sorry I'm just being honest, but this whole online check-in switch makes things harder instead of easier

Loved my room and the card congratulating me on my graduation was so nice as well! Unfortunately I forgot to eat my complimentary chocolates oops But thank you for the lovely stay !!! ＜3 Parents loved their room as well
