Place was OK. Could definitely use some updating. The floors in the suite were not cleaned recently with absolute certainty. The beds or somewhat questionable, considering the broken desk, chair and dirty floors and dirty couch. The refrigerator smelled awful where it had been closed for some time and shut off. In general, the front desk, staff were very polite and kept us from making any complaints as we appreciated them so much. We did have one person who has asked about towels, considering we had three adults one four-year-old and an infant in the suite, and only three towels available. When asking for additional towels as sometimes an infant or toddler may require those we were met with “we can’t just give you all the towels we have. You’re allowed one per person “. Our response was “well, there are only three towels, but five of us.” Response to that from the staff member was “so two towels.” Note, the final was a statement and not a question. The tone threw out was extremely rude, but we walked away. Did what we need to, and shared towels with the small children. I would recommend keeping the room clean, or checking everything out prior to guess arriving, especially if things may not have been used for a while, also suggest management to make a lap to ensure that proper housekeeping is performed. Finally, I would train all staff members not just front desk associates on how to be polite.

The mid october low that night was 44. The heater when we arrived after midnight was not on. 20 seconds after turning it on there was a burni g smell and the smoke alarm went off. Clearly this was the first use of the season. We kept it off and slept in a cold room. The next morning I explained the issue to the front desk women. She smugly told me exactly what I already knew and offered no apology much less compensation for a poor nights sleep. The hotel was crowded due to a nearby college football game. Why not service or air out the heaters when you already know there is an issue? Bargain basement facility and bargain basement management.

When I went to check in, a group of people in lawn chairs having a gathering outside blocking access to pull through under car port to check in. Room fine. Staff were fine. Skipped breakfast due to cleanliness. Hotel guest has no shoes on in breakfast area. Three rooms down from my room, people arginine loudly at 7am.

I had higher hopes from reading all the reviews. After I walked into my room, I would give this a 2 star rating. The front desk staff was nice to deal with, so no problem there. This is not a new or updated motel by any means. When we first walked into our room, you could smell the musty/dampness odors. We also found a used pair of men's underwear in the bathroom. The room just felt even more dirty after that. I do not recommend staying here again.

This motel is convenient and cost effective and the front desk staff/ management are friendly. It's not the cleanest and i can tell staffing is low. However, I continue to return because of location and front desk staff. This most recent stay, I experienced issues during my stay that don't sit well with me. #My car was dinged in the parking lot by a large truck (not hotel fault) and i left a valuable electronic beauty item that housekeeping claimed they never found when i called immediately when discovering i had left it. I knew exactly where and when, However, was made to feel that i was being untruthful about leaving my personal belongings. The manager, although a nice gentleman, offered little assistance and seemed a bit nonchalant.

The hotel lobby was dim and outdated décor, the room was dirty, the floor had stains all over it, the bed spread had stains on it, the ceilings had water stains on it, the bathroom toilet was dirty , the bath towels where dingy, the room smelled bad had a bad oder.

I was visiting Culver for Parents weekend. Accommodations in the area are limited, so local bed and breakfast places, hotels and condo rentals are all ridiculously priced. Everywhere else was at least triple the rates of Super 8, so based on the previous reviews I decided to give it a try. Woman checking in wasn't unpleasant or overly welcoming, I guess I shouldn't expect a ton of hospitality. But overall it was a good stay. Grounds, lobby, and room were all clean. No bugs in sight. Warm running water, no bathroom problems. Beds comfortable, TV, microwave and mini fridge, double beds and a desk. Perfectly acceptable for a 3 night stay
