格朗德大西洋飯店(The Grand Atlantic Hotel)

Loved the sea air so much me and my partner wanted to stay another night and it was extremely simple to book another room after checking out! Reception staff also helped in giving us the best deal.

Good location and good service

This hotel should be no star rating. Its run down, dirty, unwelcoming check in and out staff. Room dirty, mould on the windows, doors to your hotel room looks kicked in, majority of doors all looked the same. Arrived at my room and there was someone smoking with the fire exit door wide open, no alarm went off. Easily opens on to dangerous looking steps. I took photos of everything im saying. Such a shame because back in 2006 i had my wedding reception here and it was a beautiful hotel.

We stayed one night following a family birthday celebration in the hotel. Lovely old building now in need of a major reburbishment - especially on higher floors. Our roof was clean enough (although the bathroom bin was covered with dust) but it is outdated. The ceiling light was broken, the windows were filthy. But there was tea and coffee making facilities and a packet of custard creams. :)

I was pretty shocked when I walked through the door to sign in, and be told there was an extra charge for the use of the hotels own car park?! I have never known this before anywhere. I paid it and headed off to my room. I had paid an extra £20 for a “Superior Room with Sea View”. My first thought in entering the room was, where the F is the sea view?? I was at the back of the hotel with no sign of the sea anywhere. Back down to reception I went where Nicole wasn’t in the slightest bit interested in my complaint. I’ve never known a receptionist to be so unhelpful. I was told there were no sea view rooms available because they had all been allocated to other guests. Then how had I been sold one of these rooms? She told me there was nothing she could do to upgrade me or refund me the difference for the sea view room because I’d booked through an exterior site. I spoke to my booking company who contacted Nicole to talk to her. She told them that even though I didn’t have a sea view room, I was still in a superior room…when you take a look through my photos, I think you’ll agree that if this is supposed to be superior, well I’d hate to see the standard rooms! Positives, bed was relatively comfy and linen was clean. Negatives, everything else. Room is tired to the state of being in urgent decoration. And although I only dealt with the one, it’s fair to say that said staff needs a great deal of training in customer relations. Chose not to eat after that.

Very very dated room (and we had paid extra for a sea view room). Hardly any staff available at breakfast, both times we were told to take a seat and a member of staff would be round with tea/coffee and both times we were completely ignored. There was no availability to make your own so we went without. The only plus side for this hotel is where it is situated, close to local amenities. I would look elsewhere to stay if I return to Weston-Super-Mare.

The Grand Atlantic Hotel in Weston-Super-Mare exceeded our expectations with its historic charm, unbeatable views, and attentive staff. Despite our beach plans being washed out by thunderstorms, we found solace in our turret room's unobstructed vista of the sea. Gazing out of the massive floor-to-ceiling window, we shared quality time and a bottle of wine, embracing the simple pleasure of conversation. The room was immaculate, the bed cozy, and the spacious, modern bathroom a pleasant surprise. While lacking room service, this three-star gem makes up for it with its location, breathtaking views, and exceptional staff. We'll definitely be returning to this delightful haven that proves simple pleasures can be extraordinary.
