What a great place to stay, room was terrific, views were amazing, lovely walks as well from the hotel. Spent a lovely afternoon in the bar, service was great, prices, food and everything all spot on. And the brekkie was gorgeous. Will definitely be back.

My sister and I booked a weekend stay at The Royal while we were attending a course locally. We were made to feel very welcome by Dave and Joanne throughout our stay. Our twin room was comfortable and had everything we needed. The water pressure in the shower was fantastic! Breakfast was cooked to order at the time we had requested each morning and was tasty. We spent some time in the bar each evening and enjoyed the warm, friendly atmosphere. The surrounding countryside was beautiful, if we get the opportunity to go back to explore the area more we would definitely stay at The Royal again.

I kick myself every time I visit here….why do I leave it so long between each visit? It’s fantastic! Fantastic home cooked food and deserts enjoyed by our family group of 5 tonight who came together to celebrate upcoming birthdays whilst we could be in one place. You can see this is a gem of the community by the mix of regulars and visitors alike feasting on beautifully home cooked dishes and a decent choice of drinks. Nothing was too much to ask of the welcoming staff. Wonderful setting in the Sheffield countryside

We had a great stay at the Royal a couple of weeks ago. It is away from it all with great views, accommodation had all that we wanted with the car parked just outside and a lovely breakfast. We will definately return next time we need to visit Sheffield

What a fabulous place to stay. One of the best b and bs we have stayed in. We had a lovely welcome from Dave when we arrived and had our first taste of the local beer on offer. The rooms are cosy and warm with an excellent shower and are located at the back of the pub so no noise at all The service in the royal hotel is excellent Dave even took us and picked us up from the wedding we were attending The breakfast is fantastic it is ordered the night before is served piping hot by Joanne and consists of all local poroduce. If we are thinking of staying in the area again we would have no hesitation about staying here

We stayed at the Royal Hotel for one night and it was brilliant. The rooms were clean and had everything you needed and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The full English in the morning was excellent too so I highly recommend this hotel if your in the area.

We stayed for one night at the Royal Hotel, Dungworth, Sheffield, to attend a function held locally in Low Bradfield. From the initial call, answered by Dave to book a room, right through to saying goodbye on departure, our whole experience was memorable for all the right reasons. Dave and Joanne's hospitality and friendliness together with their 'nothing is too much trouble' attitude on a busy Saturday made our stay extra special. The breakfast on the Sunday was excellent and again nothing was too much trouble. Well done to you both. We would highly recommend this establishment with its clean and comfortable ensuite rooms, great hosts all in an idyllic setting. We look forward to staying again.

A very comfortable stay, friendly owners, lovely food and really comfortable beds. The views from the hotel were tremendous. Everything was spotlessly clean and the hotel provided all toiletries in reusable bottles which was a plus for us. There was plenty of choice for breakfast and if you can stay for a meal in the evening, the homemade pies were delicious. We loved our stay and will definitely come again.

Appearances can mislead and we were misled. We arrived on a Sunday evening and all was dark yet the warm (and very adequate room) was open as promised. Then the lights came on and cars arrived and the place transformed into the warmest and friendliest of pubs. It was truly a happy find with which our dog totally agrees after his own warm welcome and finding an open field a minute away.
