Storrs Gate House was the perfect choice in every way! The house is lovely with a spacious living room, a welcoming breakfast room, and beautiful bedrooms. Susann and Glen were so fun! They love Bowness and the surrounding Lake District and had so many ideas for us to explore. And the location..... perfection! Within walking distance of Windermere Lake, a great restaurant (The Boathouse), the ferry to get across the lake, and Bowness. We walked from the B&B into Bowness multiple times during out stay. It was a great way to walk off the indulgence of food and drink and we didn't have to contend with finding parking. Highly Recommend!

What a jewel within the Lake District. Such a warm welcome and fabulous atmosphere for a pleasant stay. Rooms are very well set out with plenty of nice touches to make you feel like it’s a home from home. Highly recommend staying here for a visit to the lakes.

we had a lovely stay ,hosts were lovely people ,room was excellent ,comfy bed ,plenty room , breakfast was great ,plenty of choice ,cracking full english ,would definitly stay again if round that way ,plenty of parking ,in good range of bars and eateries.

Absolutely the best B&B we've stayed in so far, Highly impressed. Glenn and Susann are the perfect hosts and made us feel so welcome upon arrival and throughout our stay. Very knowledgeable on the area and where to go. The room was very clean and furnished to a high standard. In fact, the whole building was, I can't limit it to the just the room. After a good comfy nights sleep, you then have breakfast that really was first class with matching service. A lovely B&B that's well worth a visit, you won't be disappointed. Convenient location to get anywhere, whilst still very close to the lake and quiet at night.

Just outside Bowness we received a warm welcome and we were quickly shown to a very comfortable and well kitted our room. Our bags were delivered to the room for us and the staff were very helpful in letting us know all necessary information about the place. The breakfast was well organised allowing us to just sit back and relax with table service, a great choice of items well cooked and delivered with friendly service. We would definitely return, the only negative thing we could say is that the upstairs floorboards were a bit creaky, but other than that everything was perfect.

From the minute we landed we knew we were in good hands. Correspondence between ourselves, Susann & Glenn during booking was informative and easy, promptly answering any questions that we raised. Upon arrival we were made to feel very welcome, a brief tour and some basic house rules before we were shown to our room. To describe this as a B&B would be doing disservice to the hard work that Susann and Glenn clearly have put into making every room immaculate. Beautiful scented candles fill the rooms, which are light and airy and dressed to perfection. You really do feel like you’ve landed in relaxation heaven. I don’t write many reviews but felt the need to on this occasion. Like most we work hard for our pound and this place can have ours all day long!! The breakfast was a joy to experience, both in taste and the environment that looks in towards the garden area. This was cooked to perfection with any adjustments to dietary requirements addressed and catered for. Good to appreciate fine quality products on my plate, certainly won our hearts and stomachs with the many courses that we were treated too. There really is nothing negative to say about our stay, the rooms are spotless, the furniture is styled to a very high finish and the whole location is an ideal base to explore the area. If you are looking for perfection, quality, friendly environment and a very relaxing stay then this place is a must!! We will be back…5* accommodation with 5* hosts.

First time we have stayed at this fantastic B+B, We got a fantastic welcome from Glen and Susane just made our break perfect, the room was spotless the breakfast was outstanding and the girls who served breakfast were lovely, can't wait to go back. If you are looking for a 5***** experience in the Lakes, then look no further than Storrs Gate House. Situated in walking distance from Bowness,but away from the hustle and bustle. Susann and Glen are the perfect hosts, making you feel at home straight away. Our room was the Annexe which was spotlessly clean, and very spacious. Our breakfasts were excellent, with a added bonus of a panoramic view of the lovely garden. We will return..

A very warm welcome from Susan and Glen the owners of this pretty B and B. What beautiful hosts. Nothing was too much trouble for them. Our room was very spacious and absolutely spotless and the decor beautifully done with little pretty touches. Our four poster bed was extremely comfortable and there was plenty of storage for our stuff. The breakfast was delicious and plenty of it. The organic natural yogurt was served with fresh fruit and was delicious. Lyn was very friendly and so attentive. Susan and Glen were extremely helpful and knowledgeable about events and the surrounding areas. We will definitely be returning to this gem of a place.

Incredible owners . Great location. Fabulous breakfast. My room was amazing with huge bed and great decor . The owners went out of their way to make my stay incredible . Will definitely stay again at this guest house and I will recommend to everyone
