We only have summer water (Approximately Mid April - Mid Oct), so in the winter enjoy the Armstrong Ferry Campground boat ramp 2 milesCell coverage is also limited in our area but we do get calls and texts at the Cabin. Rustic, well appointed cabin with 2000 sq ft, on the water. This place has everything you need to have a great, relaxing vacation or just a weekend getaway! Loaded with all the luxuries you require for your vacation stay. It has a living room and a den, both have LCD flat screen televisions and the downstairs den has a home theatre system. The upstairs is where you will find 2 of the 3 bedrooms and 1 of the full baths. The brand new kitchen has everything you need and more. The kitchen is combined with the dining area and living room to become one large great room. Master suite is located downstairs with en suite bathroom. Also located downstairs in the den is a beautiful stone gas fireplace and a great card table for your enjoyment. Both levels have all windows facing the water so you can enjoy the reason you came. The great walk-out floorplan allows you to walk out on large upstairs screened porch, while the downstairs puts you out onto the completely covered grilling and dining area.The property also has a boat dock. The dock has a great area for sunning and a wonderful swimming area also. TVA controls water levels on this lake. We have summer level water normally from late spring to late fall. The water is lowered during winter months for flood control. Living spaces on each level allow for a variety of entertainment option. Upstairs features an open floor plan with a fully furnished kitchen, living room and dining table for 8. For your convenience there are charging stations in the small end tables and the top of the coffee table can be lifted to use as an additional table. Downstairs is a second living area with a refrigerator, air fryer/toaster oven and a Keurig. Enjoy the lake with swimming from the dock (No Diving) or use the kayaks and paddle boards provided for your use. Enjoy a cookout on the gas grill with outdoor dining on the lower patio. The upper level deck has a porch swing and 2 bar height seats with bistro table, excellent for beverages and snacks. In the evening sit around one of the two fire pits, one wood burning and the other propane, and roast marshmallows or just enjoy some beverages while you watch the beautiful sunsets (fire wood not provided) Recent updates include repairs to the dock in December2022 also both boat lifts repaired or replaced December 2023. The home is centrally located, about an hour away from Knoxville and Chattanooga, and on the doorstep of the Great Smoky Mountains. Trade the noise of the city for the peace and quiet of nature along with a sky full of stars at night.Blue Heron Cabin offers both solace in nature and a gateway to 72 miles of fun on Watts Bar Lake. Entering the house, you’ll notice the charm of the rustic log cabin. Inside the kitchen and living room, accented by wood walls throughout the upper level. Head through the glass doors in the living room and you’ll be immersed in nature within the screened in porch, complete with patio furniture and an outdoor table. The master bedroom is located upstairs with a queen bed and private bathroom.Downstairs provides plenty of space for more relaxing with a sofa/sleeper, recliner, and twin day bed with trundle. The downstairs bedroom also boasts queen size bed. There is also a full bathroom with a tub and shower. Outside, you’ll find a fire pit, porch swing, and plenty of peace and quiet. A path leads from the back porch to the boat slip (water at pier from April 15 thru November 1st). The dock provides plenty of space for swimming and fishing.
