SureStay Hotel by Best Western Christiansburg Blacksburg

This is the second time I’ve stayed in which I found the room not very clean. First time I found used toiletries on top of the shower this time I found a used coffee pod in the coffee maker and a water bottle under the bed. Gives me an uneasy feeling wondering if the linens are clean.

Staff was fantastic and hotel was very clean. Unfortunately my room wasn’t in the greatest shape. There was a part of the Cathay had a leak and plaster had falle ontop of the closet cabinet and was on the TV making it unusable. Several lights were out, the bathroom fan didn’t work and WiFi was out our entire stay.

This was not a good stay. The hotel did not provide the services it advertised. The wifi did not work the entire length of my stay. I repeatedly ask they should fix it but the only answer I received was that the hotel had a new owner and they could not do anything. Moreover, my room was cleaned. I had to clean it myself because when I was requesting that my room should be cleaned they said that they had no staff on hand. I am going to dispute the full charge with my credit card. This is unacceptable.

Two people in our party were bitten by bedbugs or some other creature on their arms, legs, and backs both of the two nights of our stay. The bites are huge, red, and itchy and both of them had to buy Zyrtec to combat the effects. This is very disappointing as either the sheets weren’t washed or cleaned properly to eliminate these bugs.

They overcharge you and give you the run around when you call for a refund. They were not very friendly at check in and all night there were loud drunk people that kept us up. Not a stop you want to make.

We stayed for one night only, but the property was good and room and bathroom were very clean. The staff were very friendly. The complimentary breakfast could use some work. Overall the stay was good.

The front desk staff was excellent. My daughter and I were only there for 1 night. Our room was comfortable. The breakfast is what I would describe as continental.
