威拉瓦達爾黑羚野生動物園旅館(Blackbuck Safari Lodge Velavadar)

C'est vraiment le meilleur endroit pour séjourner dans cette région unique pour trois animaux emblématiques et très rares à observer : - l'antilope cervicapre ( Black buck antilope), le chat du desert, la hyène rayée. Grâce à l'opiniâtreté et au savoir faire des guides locaux nous avons longuement observé les 3 espèces...et quantité d'oiseaux magnifiques. Je recom***de plus particulièrement l'extraordinaire AMIT, guide et naturaliste hors pair, un garçon vraiment passionné par les animaux, la photographie, le recensement...Patient, bienveillant, souriant il est à lui seul une encyclopédie ornithologique ! Il gère en plus de main de maitre le Lodge. Le personnel est adorable et aux petits soins, la salle à ***ger avec terrasse qui donne sur un étang avec perchoirs naturels pour oiseaux est parfaite pour les contemplatifs et pour les photographes. Seul bémol au sujet de la nourriture, on peut regretter qu'à cause du propriétaire de religion Jaïn, on nous impose encore une fois une nourriture sans viande, sans poisson et sans oeufs ! Pour satisfaire les touristes étrangers constituant la majeure partie de la clientèle (et du chiffre d'affaires !), il est tant de varier un peu cette nourriture, toujours la même ! Les bungalows sont comme neufs, présentant tout le confort moderne nécessaire : douche chaude, air conditionné, mini bar, literie parfaite, terrasse ... et surtout des nuits calmes sans aucune nuisance sonore, c'est si rare en Inde ... Wifi à la reception uniquement (à améliorer ?) Une petite piscine propre et agréable complète le tout... Allez-y les yeux fermés !

Fantastic experience, with excellent property, hospitality, food with khatias in the lawn. And the best part was their very experienced naturalist Amit, who made it lively and even gave us a presentation, with the documentary and his personal collection of videos of animals in Velavafar over the last 10 years. The property is surrounded by farms, near a canal and with all these birds around the park visiting the pond and perching on the trees. The rooms are well furnished and the restaurant is close to reception, and made lively by Amit by all his stories and information on the hyena,wolves, blackbucks and the 220+ birds and the ***ager, staff with their personalized attention, the numerous pictures of animals and birds clicked by the property owner and his friends. The food was very good, and so was the atmosphere in the resort. We enjoyed our time in Velavadar thanks to Amit, and entire staff of the Blackbuck Lodge Vela ensured we had a pleasant stay.

We stayed at this lodge for two nights and had a great stay. The rooms are clean and spacious , the staff are friendly and the food was varied and tasty. The highlight of our stay however was the safari to the Blackbuck NP. It was organised by the lodge and was amazing. As well as seeing hundreds of blackbuck antelope we also saw *****ed hyenas, a grey wolf, a jungle cat, a naped hare and loads of birds. A special mention to Amit, the guide at the lodge. He accompanied us on the safari and his knowledge and enthusiasm are a credit to him and the lodge. If you have time ask to see his extensive wildlife photographs collection. He has taken some incredible photos and has lots of rare spots from the area. We hope to return to the area and will definitely stay here again.

It was a fascinating visit. near to nature, excellent property with ultimate facilities. The food was mouthwatering and delicious. We absolutely enjoyed our stay at black buck safari lodge and nice memory for a life time.

A smooth 3 hour drive from Ahmedabad on the newly relaid Ahmedabad Bhavnagar national highway is the turn-off into the single lane road leading to the Velabadar blackbuck national park. As we approached the national park office we came across two large herds of blackbucks within a hundred metres from the road. These beautiful slender deers roaming freely in the Savannah-like grassland were a treat for the eyes. A short distance ahead we approached the Blackbuck Safari Lodge. As we drove inside we were pleasantly surprised to see the ambience in the safari lodge blending seamlessly with the surrounding grassland. There was a small water body with ***y birds including cormorants. The checkin experience was pleasant and the staff were friendly and helpful. Individual cottages were thoughtfully designed and furnished. Our youngest 5-year old member was excited to see ***y birds and butterflies in the resort premises. There were provisions for outdoor games as well as traditional khatlas spread under a leafy Jamun tree to relax. As the dusk fell the resort was lit up with strategically placed lights that helped in safe movement but never overpowered the rustic ambience of the resort. At the nightfall buffet dinner was served in the dining hall tastefully decorated with photographs of the local wildlife. The menu spread was thoughtfully adequate and quality was better than what we expected and we commended the chef for the same. We didn't go for the open Gipsy safari conducted by the national park authorities since we already had seen the blackbucks in the wild and were more interested in spending quality time with the family. The only neglected point in the resort was the swimming pool which seemed to be not in use. Interestingly, despite the resort being fully occupied nobody seemed interested in swimming or even complaining about the dirty pool. The breakfast buffet was also a pleasant experience with ample stocks of all the items in the menu. We left after relaxing a while post breakfast. Each and every member of our family expressed desire to be back at the Blackbuck Safari Lodge again. The staff bade us goodbye while inviting us to visit the Asiatic Lion Safari Lodge at Gir forest. From our Velabadar blackbuck safari lodge experience we surely will be at the Gir national park "very soon" . Watch out for our review of the Asiatic Lion Safari Lodge.

The resort is very calm and nice , The food was great and the staff is amazing too. This is a hidden gem and the service is amazing. Had an amazing stay over all. They arranged us with safaris and got us the best deals and sightings. Would definetly come to stay there again.

We had a great time, the food was delicious and fresh, the staff was courteous and helpful, the black buck safari was amazing. The resort rooms were clean, all toiletries were provided. Would definitely recommend for a weekend gateway from the city!
