贊達拜阿爾伯格小木屋飯店(The Aalberg Chalet)

I booked back 2 months before our intended stay during Mid July. We are from SA and we had planned a 2-week holiday. This was before the NSW COVID outbreak. All other places we booked had absolutely no issue with cancelling and refunding. The vendor is ignoring the ACCC guidelines under Exceptional Circumstances to offer a refund. We are still fighting through credit card disputes. I encourage those in this thread who have experienced this to do the same. I am truly astonished at the belligerence and incompassion by the Agents (Sinclairs). I had given notice just less than 4 weeks, enough time for Sinclairs to re-advertise; however, they refused. This is appaling service and I am spending a lot of time now to win over my card dispute. I will be shortly filing against ACCC if no success.

Terrible service, had to cancel our trip due to COVID lockdown. Asked for a refund and was refused. Left us completely out of pocket even though there was no physical way we could make the booking date. The dates which were offered were well out of the ski season and even now we would still be unable to make it. Disgusting to refer to us as losers when asking for a refund. It is totally unreasonable that they were unable to provide a refund. DO NOT BOOK HERE!

This company refused to move my booking or refund any money already paid (unable to travel there due to Covid lockdown). They even asked me to pay the remainder of my balance knowing fully well I was unable to travel to Jindabyne.

I'm only writing this review as Aalberg emailed me this morning and asked me to review my stay....but I didn't stay. The whole of NSW has a Covid lockdown order so I couldn't stay. When it became apparent that I wouldn't be able to go, I rang and emailed (2 addresses) them to discuss if there were any options re credit notes or refunds. No response. I did the same when they sent me their, 'see you in 3 days email'. No response. I booked 8 trips to the snow this year with a range of accommodation providers and everyone was great. Some gave me refunds, others credits whilst others couldn't do anything as they were hanging on by their financial finger tips. Aalberg were the only people who failed to respond to any emails or answer and phone calls. And when it appeared very unlikely that I wouldn't be able to make it they took the final payment. I didn't think that was cool. I understand that everyone suffers through a covid lockdown. But these guys would have a significant decrease in costs - heating, food, water, staff etc. I don't think it's cool to have your customers take all the pain.....or at least not even have the guts to discuss it.

Aalberg Chalet was faultless! Our room was clean, warm and Exactly what we needed after several days on the slopes. coming back to the lovely hosts was just delightful, brekky was yum too. We will be back as soon as we can and feel so lucky to have stayed at Aalberg!
