住宿方回覆: To all reading this, We have done a thorough inquiry on this case prior to responding. Please note our official response to this complaint, outline below. Thank you. Management, Palm Beach Inn and Sea Shells Cabanas - The customer's reservation was for a Standard Room with FAN. - They stayed the first night and on the second day (after 6.pm), they requested to cancel the reservation FOC. - A free cancellation was not accepted as it was past 6.pm. - The guest then decided to stay until past 4.pm the next day. - We did not dispute their late check-out and allowed the guest to remain in the room until late afternoon. - At the time of payment collection, the guest was rather agitated and refused to pay. - Our staff was then threatened with a police entry being made, as they claimed their jewellery was stolen. - We advised them to proceed with a complaint to the police. - At the time the police got involved, they were instructed by the police to first make their full payment before the investigation proceeded. - After further investigation, the police cleared the hotel from any theft and stated the claims to be false. - The customer seemed to have trouble settling their hotel bill, which we believe was the cause of this unfortunate incident. - Regarding the our restaurant: as we are a small business we have to make firm decisions with how our operation is handled given the current market context. Our restaurant does not store any fresh produce and everything is bought and made to order. Breakfast, lunch and dinner is available; orders are accepted up to a specific time (depending on the meal), and late orders are not accepted given the operation. The customer has continuously been publishing damaging statements about the hotel online. We are responding to each statement to explain the situation and clear out the hotel's name from further damage. We will not accommodate this customer in the future.
