We booked a cheap getaway for 4 nights both flight and accommodation. We arrived at Evamar apartments and it looked a little run down but we’re really not fussy. We just need a clean bed and shower and fresh towels, we had no intention on spending a lot of time in the apartment. We noticed there were no reception and no instructions from the booking confirmation (maybe this is Love Holidays error). I managed to google that keys are to be collected from Luxmar, about a 6 minute walk up the road. This was slightly annoying having to drag the luggage there and back. We had to pay a £100 deposit for the room to prevent damage. We finally arrived at our apartment and it was like a horror film. A shopping trolly was parked outside the door containing rubbish and shoes. We went inside and it was just awful, 2 single beds - I didn’t move the frilly green sheets so I can’t comment on what was underneath! The living area had foam sofa with cigarette burns. There were stains in the toilet, the bath was rusty with an old shower curtain hanging on for dear life! The bathroom window whistled unless it was opened. The whole room was generally worn down and dated. We wasn’t expecting anything fancy and we’re genuinely not fussy but we could not stay there a second longer. We walked straight out, returned the keys and booked a different hotel. This is the first negative review I’ve ever written.
