堤岸飯店(Embankment Hotel)

I stayed 2 nights in the hotel and was joined by family for dinner on the second night. The meal wasn't cheap but it was very good as was the service so worth the money. My room was clean, comfortable and quiet with a lovely modern bathroom and a very good selection of teas and coffees, hot chocolate too and bottled water. I would stay there again but I would ask for a room on the first floor this time because at 71 and with medical issues I found the last flight of stairs exhausting. Overall, lovely hotel in a beautiful location.

We were attending a wedding down the road and decided to stay overnight in your hotel. The room was clean and well stocked with tea and coffee but disappointed that there was not enough milk in the room. What was great was that we had an amazing view of the river from our hotel room. The breakfast was served hot and we got what we ordered. The breakfast was very filling with as much tea and coffee that we could drink. Staff were very friendly and lovely to talk to. Would stay there again.

Comfortable and clean room but rather warm, although there was a large fan. Only had breakfast which was good. Small car park at rear which was full when we arrived so had to use on-street parking which is payable at times. Fortunately a space became available in the car park later in the day. Would stay there again but parking could be a problem.

It was our 1st stay here. Managed to park onsite. Lovely quiet location opposite the river. Nice outdoor seating area. Pub / resturant had good vibe nicely done. The building is old but well maintained inside and out. Our room was nice and quiet with usual things you find in a hotel room -cant complain and the bath towels were nice and thick. We ate in the pub on the 1st night both had burger and chips which we didnt find that nice and was expensive. Breakfast was good but no cereals available. Would stay here again . Good base to get into central London with fast regular trains. ( approx 15mins walk to station)

Beautiful location right on river Ouse. You can relax while watching Swans, Geese and Ducks swim pass. There were lots of boats too. Our twin room was a generous size, clean and tastefully decorated. We had lunch here which was excellent although a longer wait than desired. Breakfast was superb, but it was unclear what we could order, if we could have juice as well as coffee, or extra toast for example. Very Minor downsides were no chest of drawers in the room and we could have done with more hooks in the bathroom in addition to the one on the door. I would stay here again and recommend to others.

To be brutally honest. Our stay was great (excluding pillows) which need changing! Also, service in the bar Saturday evening and at breakfast on Sunday morning was terrible! Over an hour to receive breakfast and bits of the meal missing that we had to ask for! Staff seemed to be standing around chatting and it seemed that person in charge was running around dealing with everything! We returned as had previously experienced great stay and service, but definitely service has dropped in some areas. Definitely suggest kitchen and meal service timing be improved to get back the standard we received in 2019. I will come back and hopefully find this has improved as lockdown may have created staff in training (?).

The staff were all very helpful and cheerful. We found that the Embankment was an old and well looked after building with a lot of history. The view from our bedroom window was beautiful. We stayed two nights and had breakfast both mornings , which was delicious. Our bathroom was poor and a bit smelly. Not sure what the smell was but smelt a bit like sewage and unpleasant. Not cleanest of bathrooms and needs an urgent update. When we had breakfast we could smell the toilets that was nearby so we hurried our food to leave. The food even tho excellent was over priced.

Lovely room decorated in keeping with the age of the property. For most part the food was excellent and a great ranges of drinks. The service throughout was very good - even though a little understaffed at breakfast. Overall a great stay - Thank you
