迪斯尼動物王國別墅-詹布樓(Disney's Animal Kingdom Villas - Jambo House)

We stayed at Disney's Animal Kingdom Villas - Jambo House for 2 nights from April 8-10 before our cruise on the Disney Wish out of Port Canaveral. We chose this hotel because we spent a day at Animal Kingdom as well. We flew in from LAX to MCO on Saturday morning and got to the hotel around 5 pm. We had 2 rooms - one for myself, my wife, and my two daughters and one for my in-laws. Both rooms were on the 5th floor as we booked through David's Vacation Club Rentals and I believe it's a DVC floor. One of our rooms overlooked the pool and the other looked out to the makeshift savanna within the hotel grounds. We immediately got the girls to the pool and they were able to swim for a few hours. They enjoyed the waterslide and the camp-like atmosphere that the pool staff put on with games, dance competitions, etc. We ate at The Mara by the pool both nights there and enjoyed the convenience. We considered the buffet but with an all-you-can-eat cruise waiting in the wings we tried to eat light. I didn't find much convenience with the hotel's location with regards to Animal Kingdom as it felt like a decent drive to get to the park in the morning. Walking was out of the question and although they had a shuttle I didn't want us to feel stranded so we drove our rental minivan - it's free to park at the parks if you're a guest at one of their hotels so it worked out fine. You can stay at any hotel if you want to visit Animal Kingdom as each will require a drive. We really enjoyed the day at the theme park - the whole experience felt more like a zoo visit than a Disney Park but we all really loved the Avatar Flight of Passage ride that you'd never find at a zoo. The park was smaller than expected and with our lightning lanes we got through it all by around 4 pm. That got us back to the hotel and the girls got another night at the pool. My lasting impression of the hotel was that it was beautiful although a bit dark. My youngest daughter LOVED the fact that she could see zebras and giraffes and other animals while at the hotel. The rooms were a bit dated but met all our needs. All in all, a very nice hotel.

The hotel is very nice, but for those wanting the disney experience, you wouldn't know this was a disney hotel. No characters whatsoever, nothing apart from the gift shop had any sign that we were in a disney hotel, the savannah lookout was amazing with a good selection of animals always viewable. Restaurants and amenities were great.

Started off good. We had a two rooms with two reservations. Only one room was ready. The one we were given was not the correct view. The second one had mouse poop on the patio and in the room. Then on two separate occasions we encountered giant roaches in our room. Tv was broken for three days and no one fixed it. We were told that you could shop and have things shipped to your house, but only things purchased at the Disney store. Which they didn’t tell us until after. We had a few very expensive unexpected meals at places that were not that great. We had to have Uber eats deliver most of our meals. For as expensive as these places are, it was not really worth what we spent.

I wanted to come back from our 7 night stay at the Animal Kingdom Lodge with NOTHING but positive remarks and an amazing experience to tell everyone about. Unfortunately, I find myself coming up with the right way to communicate our disappointment. Over a year ago, my family and I planned a big trip to Disney - one of those 'once in a lifetime' opportunities for us all to be together for a week in this 'magical' place. For some of us, it was our first visit, for some, repeat guests - for all of us, our first time at Animal Kingdom lodge. We booked five rooms for a Saturday - Saturday stay, on the club level, with Savannah views. As you can imagine, the price tag was hefty, but so worth it for the trip that we wanted to have. We arrived late Saturday night to find that our rooms were not at all what we anticipated and thought we had confirmed. Whether or not this was a miscommunication on the part of our Disney agent or on the property, it was nonetheless, a DISNEY miscommunication. As of that moment we were guests at the property and kicking off our trip with a problem to be solved. We had four kids in tow, two under the age of 3, and needed to find a solution, food, and bedtime. We were able to 'correct' the problem by moving my family to Kidani Village and adding a second room to my brother's stay, which we were told at the time would cost us another $4,200. No discount, no courtesy, just another $4,200. Our room was moved to another building, away from our 10 family members, and from a Savannah view to a parking lot view. We were given no assistance in getting to our room, no offer of food or additional support given that our 2 year old was exhausted and hadn't eaten. Just sent on our way. When I tried to call the front desk for assistance, I was sent to an answering service. I tried to call housekeeping for blankets and pillows and again, got an answering service. I should interject here to add that I work in the hospitality field. I have for 19 years. I know what we have gone through in the last 3 years. I know what recovery has been like. I know this is hard. I also know that it can be overcome with the golden rule of our industry - - anticipate. the. guests. needs. We got some rest and woke up the next morning still not feeling ok about being far from our family. We sought out additional help and a manager, who eventually did get us moved back to Jambo house and into a Savannah view - although not on the club level, we did maintain our access to the lounge. We were provided an amenity basket (after I told him I found it unacceptable that we didn't already receive one), and we were checked on once or twice to ensure we were happy. We were happy...for the time being. Fast forward to Friday - our last full day on vacation. Somehow, the property had checked out the additional room that was given to my brother. Somehow, they had booked his additional room for a day less than all the other rooms in our group. When this mistake was found, t

It had been 7 years since last AK visit, and it was hard to find downsides this go around. I think of Jambo House at AK as the best taste of Disney without being cheesy. It transports you somewhere but you aren't inundated with characters. The art is subtle Disney and heavy Africa. The lobby is incredible. Savannah view is amazing of course. However, you quickly realize you don't spend a lot of time in your room, so one must decide if worth the extra money to have a nice wake up to see animals. It's worth it if you can swing it but plenty of other viewing spots, so it isn't a must. Beds were comfortable (not best you'll ever sleep in but get the job done). Bathrooms private enough with shower separated from sinks to make getting ready easier if with kids. Pool area is great for kids. Large pool though not a lot of layout spots near the pool so factor that in. Fun activities director for kids who want to do some games while in the pool. Great arcade. Great pool bar- if you tell your kids where to go you can see them well from there. Good market to order food if you're not a sit down dinner family. (We like to grab and go). Two downsides. One is expect a lot of walking to your room. The hallways are looooong! Also other than to get to AK park, Jambo house is not an easy ride late at night or after a long day in the park. Furthest away from the parks and have to stop at kidani village first can make those trips back to the hotel exhausting. But it's worth it if you are looking for the vibe of living amongst the animals!

Stayed here recently for a week and its a lovely hotel with a fantastic lobby. We had a room looking out to the pool, which stays open until 11pm, but we didn't notice any noise at all. Staff are really friendly and incredibly helpful. Having access to the Park buses is a huge asset as it is pretty much door to door service and they are very regular to all parks. The pool is large with a flume but can be difficult to get a lounger if you are not early particularly if you want one around the pool. The hotel has a gym, which is adequate but not amazing and has 3 restaurants. The only problem with the restaurants is the cost. $50 per person for a buffet and $30 per person for a buffet breakfast is a joke. My young children certainly don't eat that amount of food that warrants that price. That is the only reason why I did not give it 5 stars.

El hotel es muy bonito, las habitaciones de buen tamaño, las camas cómodas. Pero es el colmo que en un hotel donde la noche cuesta alrededor de $400 USD NO recojan la basura ni cambien las toallas sucias ni tiendan la cama (aunque uno lo pida). Un hotel de “5 estrellas” con servicio similar a un tiempo compartido. El personal es muy atento, pero de nada sirve porque si les pides que quieres que te tiendan la cama todos los días y te hagan el cuarto no lo hacen. Es decepcionante. Y si no quieres quedarte sin cenar, recuerda hacer reservación en el restaurante (si es que lo logras).

Lo único bueno de este hotel es la ubicación. Mal servicio. Es inconcebible que en 5 noches no hayan hecho el aseo de la habitación. La razón según ellos: COVID. En mi trabajo viajo mucho por distintos países, y lo he hecho durante la pandemia. Nunca había visto esto. Luego dejamos el hotel a las 6:30 de la mañana y el servicio de concierge/botones, no existió, por lo qué tuvimos que bajar solos 7 maletas de 23 kg, por un hotel que es muy grande. Realmente por el precio de habitación, la relación precio/calidad, no se cumple.

The customer service was excellent. Our room over looked an area where animals ran wild. It was neat that. The room was very clean. The restaurants and bars located at the resort were very good. Very nice outdoor pool areas with food available.
