藍鑽石旅館(Blue Diamond Guest House - Hostel)

A bit of bad weather down the south of Cambodia resulted in us heading up to Battambang. I feel Battambang is talked about as much o in research but it did not disappoint. We love this hostel we decided to stay an extra night! The pool area, restaurant and staff were all so nice we spent most of our time there! We had a great tuk tuk driver Mr Ton which the hostel organised for us, who took us into town when ever we wanted and on a half day tour to the killing caves, bamboo train and bat cave! I would definitely recommend him as a driver. This was such a great hostel would recommend when in Battambang!

Excellent! Really comfy beds. Great staff. Gorgeous swimming pool. Good food. Cool vibe. Nothing was too much bother. Young ladies in reception were super organised, professional and accomodating. Trips were arranged and dependable advice given with thoughtful advice. Would HIGHLY recommend a stay here.

Le personnel du blue diamond est tres accueillant. Les services proposés comme le restaurant, la piscine et le bar sont très bien. Les chambres sont correctes, propres et comfortables. Nous avons passé un court séjour tres satisfaisant.

Nous étions deux à partager notre chambre twin room, plus une troisième à prendre une chambre simple. Premièrement, nous étions surprise d'arriver dans la chambre, accueilli par une odeur très mauvaise, l'appareil pour la climatisation était bien là mais sans télécommande, idem pour la TV!.. Nous sommes donc aller à la réception et apparement il faudrait payer 5 dollars/nuit pour cela. Autant vous dire que la ventilation est inutile dans la chambre, il fait 30⁰C en intérieur et j'ai été obligé de dormir en bas du lit pour avoir un petit fil d'air car les lits sont séparés et le ventilateur ne tourne même pas dans les deux sens... Même chose pour mes amies qui ont passé très mal leur séjour. À la réception, ils m'expliquent qu'il y a aussi un problème avec Agoda/Booking, et que j'avais choisi la chambre avec ventilation uniquement, je leur explique que je n'ai rien choisi et que j'ai simplement booké la chambre qui n'indiquait en rien les différents prix. Me disent que ce n'est pas leur problème si il y a des problèmes concernant leur hotel sur agoda et qu'ils ne peuvent rien faire..même si les clients sortent de là mécontant.. Personnel répond aux questions mais pas plus agréable que ça.. Hotel plus au moins propre, surtout au niveau des draps mais c'est largement acceptable! Espace extérieur sympa! Wij boekten ons verblijf via agoda. 4 comfortkamers met airco voor 2 nachten. Toen we aankwamen bleek het hotel vol te zitten. Na veel aandringen bleken toch nog 4 kamers beschikbaar te zijn, maar enkel met een waaier. Hier gingen we dus niet mee akkoord! Met 36 graden sliepen we namelijk graag met een airco. Maar kamers met airco waren vol, dus die gingen we sowieso niet krijgen. Daarom wilden we dus akkoord gaan met een waaier, maar dit wel aan een lager tarief. Dit wilden ze niet toelaten, betaald is betaald volgens hen! Als we niet akkoord gingen, vlogen we gewoon op straat en zagen we ons geld niet meer terug! Uiteindelijk toch akkoord gegaan met de kamer. Maar verschrikkelijk warme nacht gehad, dus volgende nacht toch maar kamer geboekt in een ander hotel (sieng hout hotel) met airco, veeeel beter! Klant was hier duidelijk niet koning! Afzetters!

Niet aan te raden, vuil zwembad, enorm onvriendelijk personeel en extreem warme kamer. Ligt ook nog wat buiten centrum. Hoewel we extra hadden betaald voor kamer mer airco, kregen we een kamer zonder. Hierna vroegen we voor gepaste compensatie waarop de eigenaar boos werd.

The only positive about this place is the pool area and friendly staff. Other than that it is not a great place at all. The private room pillows are harder than concrete, the sink was leaking non stop. We were fed raw chicken and laughed at when we brought it up to show them. Someone down the road screaming in a mic all night making it impossible to sleep.

Do not stay here !!! The rooms are NOT what they show in the pictures! Rooms are disgusting and the place is a dump! Not even worth $2 a night! Totally lying to paying people. Not even a bed in the room it's planks of wood screwed together ! Disgusting ! To top it off the town itself , Battambang is an utter dive and that reflects in the accommodation thats available! Don't go to Battambang all together let alone book this dump.

Terrible attitude from the minute we got there. Ordered food it was terrible and sent it back to be shouted at aggressively by a guy. We checked out and left and he came after us on a motorbike demanding us pay for food we didn’t eat and was continually aggressive. Worst place I have ever experienced in my life
