阿布奧西餐廳飯店(Abac Restaurant Hotel Barcelona GL Monumento)

Hemos pasado cuatro noches en el ABAC durante el puente de diciembre y he de decir que ha sido una experiencia muy agradable. El hotel es un oasis de paz en la zona alta de Barcelona; las habitaciones son amplias, luminosas y perfectamente equipadas; el desayuno -de altísima calidad- se sirve en la maravillosa biblioteca, etc. Pero lo mejor de todo es la gran profesionalidad y amabilidad de todo el personal, pendiente de cada detalle, con esa cortesía tan barcelonesa, que agrada pero no invade. En fin, volveremos en cuanto podamos.

Nos encantó. La habitación era espectacular y la atención del personal exquisita. Nos pareció un privilegio el hecho de tener que atravesar la cocina para acceder a la habitación. En un hotel tan vinculado a la gastronomía es un lujo!!

Generally a very nice hotel. Especially the bathtub area was great. It is in a residential area, very safe. It is a small hotel, only 15 rooms, The entire staff was very friendly. The main general criticism was that it seemed to be a restaurant first, hotel 2nd. Also, the only dinner restaurant was a prix-fix menu, more than $300 per person. Would expect more choices. The specific criticism: I asked front desk if there was English speaking news channel on TV. Now, we generally go to bed early. The gentleman at the front desk offered to come to our room to set it up. It was about 9:30 pm and my wife was in bed already. After 15 to 20 minutes, he couldn't figure out how to get any channel, English or Spanish, on the tv. He said he was sending someone else up, and about 15 minutes later, a woman came up. After about 10 minutes, she called someone else who came up about 10 minutes later, and got the TV channels on after about 15 minutes. They immediately left, with a Spanish speaking station on. We scrolled through about 70 to 80 channels, and while there were two or three channels playing movies in English, we found no news stations.

This hotel is quite amazing. We were only able to spend one night here but it was a fantastic experience. It is an ultra modern hotel with superb fixtures and fittings. It was all so very comfortable. The suite was huge and a further huge outdoor terrace. It is in a lovely area of Barcelona . The excellent breakfast was served on a delightful terrace. The staff were very welcoming and helpful. A thoroughly first class, 5 star experience.

The hotel is beautiful. Their spa is gorgeous. The restaurant is thé best restaurant of Barcelona, I will make a separate 5* review for the restaurant. I do suggest heavily to go to the restaurant and to book a separate different hotel if you do not want to be treated like sh*t by the refeption staff. Especially Maria Jose from the reception is so rude and incompetent that she has almost screwed up my entire weekend. The manager has later tried to apologize for the disgusting treatment that we have received from this horrible woman by inviting us to some cocktails but this does not compensate the feeling this awful person left. I feel bad for her colleagues who do try to make tge guests feel good. I have been many times in the amazing restaurant and I will return but even though I have stayed in this hotel in the past and the rooms are nice I won’t ever stay here anymore and will try to safe my friends and followers from this horrible experience.

Acceuil correct mais dès l'arrivée dans notre chambre choqués par l'état . Sol plein de marques noires, rideaux troués, tâchés, joints Sdb sales. Lavabo cassé. Vitres sales etc. Chose inimaginalbe dans un 5 * en France. Fonctionnement réglage lumières pas simple. Peignoirs inadaptés aux tailles . Niveau piscine, hamman, jaccuzzi joints avec traces de moisis, pomme de douche rouillée. Jaccuzi chambre, une simple baignoire toute petite, quand vous rentrez dedans vous êtes scotchés aux buses qui sont censées fonctionner et il a fallu 1h pour un remplissage et fonctionnement normal tout en étant ventousé aux buses vu le peu de largesse de la baignoire, dans laquelle impossible de bouger. Chambre soit disant insonorisée, une farce, on entend les voitures de l'extérieur, les portes de palier des voisins qui claquent et la lumière du couloir qui passe de chaque côté. Le seul point positif est la literie, c'est tout. Personnellement nous ne remettrons jamais les pieds dans ce type de structure qui se fout de la clientèle en osant proposer des prestations dans cet état lamentable. Il ne semble avoir aucun suivi d'entretien. Et bien que nous ayons signalé tout cela sur place, aucune réaction de la part de la Direction. Suite à tout cela nous avons décidé de ne prendre ni petit déjeuner, déjeuner ou diner sur place, donc aucun avis à ce niveau là.

Je suis super déçu de cette hôtel l’accueil. Service Room pas agréable du tout. Ensuite vous avez la surprise arriver chez vous qu’il vous facture le minibar une honte vous envoyer des mails ils vous répondent pas ils ignorent vos mails c’est encore pire une honte plus jamais je viendrai dans cet hôtel.

Thanks to a family event and also the Formula 1 Grand Prix of Barcelona , we decided to stay at ABaC with my wife and our two sons . Located in a very quiet and charming area of Barcelona, this “Boutique hotel “is very elegant. And let’s start by mentioning how much the staff is extremely kind, professional,efficient with a lot of empathy for guests. From the moment you arrive at the hotel,you feel privileged and cared.. We selected Deluxe rooms, very wide, well-equipped, with a modern design.All details are really very well anticipated.… The Spa is very elegant ,and we experienced very good relaxing massages. We previously booked the dinner at the 3 Stars Michelin restaurant of the hotel. A fantastic epicurean experience,with surprising mixed flavors, a deep attention to cooking,and the use of unique local ingredients. So everything was fabulous and far beyond our most optimistic expectations ! It took me time to find out some points to improve and really thinking about it I would just mention that the restaurant should adopt a dress code policy for guests. Even if the key point is what you discover in your plates ,which in this case was really unbelievable, having dinner with some ( only some ) other tables where people come in blue jeans,sneakers, « Hawaiian » short sleeves style shirts is not what I expect in a 3 stars hotels. Usually at this level, Business casual, or jackets are required…I’m not stating that suits and ties should be mandatory , but there should be a minimum ,specified in advance to guests…If there is not a minimum of respect for the other guests and employees, what can we expect in the future? People coming to dinner in Bermuda’s? Once again, it took me a lot of efforts to highlight a point of improvement but I believe that this should be considered by the restaurant owners … If you have the chance to visit this fantastic city of Barcelona, DO NOT miss the opportunity to stay at ABaC, enjoy the dinner and …relax.. We will do our best to be back again and again…. P.S: quite sad to have seen Charles Leclerc stopped while leading a fantastic race on the Ferrari ,because of an unexpected engine failure….But He will be back stronger ! 💪

Greeted with a smile and very nice concierge employees at the front desk Lovely hotel with a very good spa and restaurant. Great well sized rooms with very comfortable beds. Great bathrooms. My only two negatives with the hotel but one of them not really there fault was we were woken up in the early hours of the morning by a very noisy couple for at least an hour. (If only she could have kept her mouth shut). I did forget to tell concierge about this. Secondly the restaurant was lovely with a good set menu but unfortunately the two main courses were not to mine and my wife’s liking. Over all a very nice one night stay.
