I’ve never written a review before but think this is necessary! We were allocated the ground floor apartment, check-in was easy and upon arrival we were very happy; fantastic location, beautiful interior, spacious and very clean. However …. On our first night there was very loud music (literally vibrating the floor); we thought maybe this was from another apartment however when we went to investigate we found it was coming from a nightclub underneath the apartment! We didn’t get any sleep until after 5am when it closed. We informed the manager the next day and requested a move to another apartment away from the ground floor …. His response was that there were no other apartments available…. However you can have a bottle of wine (refused because I’m Pregnant) more importantly he promised he had spoken to the nightclub and reassured us that we would have no noise issues on the second night. However …. Night 2 …. The loud music started again from midnight until 5am …. By this point we’re exhausted… our break was not turning out to be as restful as envisaged! The next day we spoke to the manager again …. disingenuous disbelief…. and an offer of 25% discount on our stay was offered, but still no change of room because apparently there was no availability….. our response was we would like a refund on our final night so we can book elsewhere where we will be guaranteed a restful night …. 10 minutes later an alternative apartment on the top floor is available, however the offer of a 25% discount was no longer offered due to additional cleaning costs! Honestly by this point we felt all the managed cared about was the financial aspect not the fact we had barely no sleep for 2 nights! For ease we accepted the apartment move for our final night but did not appreciate being lied to and offered very poor compensation for the fact we had two night of no sleep- not quite the trip we expected!
