Considering the absence of branded properties in a small city such as Nellore, Minerva Grand does well to fill the gap via warm service, spacious rooms & a convenient location. The professional touch & finesse is lacking though - the wi-fi & the safe deposit locker didn’t work.
This is a 20 year old property undergoing the process of renovation. Might have carried a great legacy, but currently not in the best shape. I must admire the staff for their willingness to help fix all the issue, but there are too many issues that a guest might not want to be bothered with. To list a few important irritated issues: - Room wasn't cleaned properly in spite of an hour's notice. - Renovated work is incomplete in the three rooms we tried shifting to. - We had to request for new bed rolls and sheets as the ones already placed were soiled. - Tap wasn't functional, plumber had to come and fix it during the stay. - Too many mosquitoes, can't expect that in a star hotel. - Doors had missing latches. - Ambience isn't reflecting the stars that the hotel claims. - Hotel claims to provide Wifi, but that doesn't work. - The cupboard designed for refrigerator was not holding any refrigerator. - Plates in which food was served by Room Service were disgusting, may be not replaced in the last 20 years. The only good aspects of this hotel are: - Location - Service of the staff
The stay at tejaswini grand was good and the service was excellent even the food at the restaurant was also clean and tasty. But the front office need improvement, it needs smart people who can be proactive so that the customer will have better experience.
