I attended with a group retreat that was using Gaia as its base for a week. Upon checking in I found the establishment to be run down & in need of some TLC. Weathered furniture, mouldy jacuzzi, pool lounger cushions ripped, dirty, faded. Linen - massive issue. Filthy, torn, not laundered properly. Holes in sheets, sheets dirty, housekeeping was very basic & despite the holes & dirt on bed sheets on check in they weren’t changed! Towels provided were unbelievable- I use better towels for my dogs bath. Animals in roof making noise at night. Bugs in the bed - ants, insects etc Mosquitoes nets on bed filthy, stained, falling apart held with paper clips. Lots of road traffic noise. Villa staff were very polite & lovely but the standard of service is very basic. Food - was provided by onsite staff for the retreat. Evening meals were served cold or room temperature & this was at the time it was put out for service. Overall they need to do a lot of work to get up to a standard for people to use this venue as For running their business out of.

I just returned from a 9 day yoga retreat at Gaia. It could not have been a more perfect trip! Arriving at the airport with a driver waiting, even holding a sign with my name. Immediately greeted at Gaia with a welcome drink of a fresh coconut and dinner. The food was always fresh and delicious. I’ve never had tofu but it was delicious. The fresh fruits every morning with fresh juices or smoothie was refreshing. Water provided in the room each day and a cooler in the dining area. Delicious Bali coffee and teas provided 24/7. The accommodations were perfect. Room and bathroom were cleaned daily along with the entire facility. Fluffy fresh towels provided along with shampoo, conditioner and bath wash. The staff were so friendly, happy and helpful. Ms. Agung was the perfect hostess. She was very knowledgeable and helped our group plan our excursions to beat the crowds. She also arranged transportation to make things as enjoyable as possible. The location is walkable to a convenience store, restaurants and shopping. The pool was wonderful! The hot tub and cold plunge were great options too. The spa services were magical and very affordable. I cannot emphasize enough what a perfect trip this was. Where do you go where you can shower outside with flower petals falling and sounds of the jungle but completely private? I cannot wait to return! Thank you, Ms. Agung for an amazing time in Bali!!

Really beautiful , quiet and relaxing place surrounded by the most beautiful nature. The food is amazing , cooked with so much love by the local staff. They also have a really nice pool area, jacuzzi and sauna. It's the perfect place for your event / retreat. Highly recommend.

Between sessions, the sauna and pool were a perfect retreat within a retreat, offering pure relaxation. Gaia Retreat Center is a gem—an oasis of peace, nourishment, and support. Highly recommended for anyone seeking a nurturing and transformative experience!

I can't speak highly enough of how magical this retreat center is. Everything from the location, the staff, and the accommodations were excellent. It's the perfect place to relax, recharge, and disconnect from the world outside. I can't wait to go back!

The staff is so incredibly nice and they took care of us extremely well. The food that they made was incredibly fresh and so tasty. Honestly it may have been my favorite thing about the retreat center. It's also pretty close to central Ubud where you can shop. I had a wonderful time at Gaia! I would highly recommend to anyone.
