橡樹旅館(OKA's Guest House Canggu)

This is epic value - quiet good views, nice staff and ok pool

We stayed at this hotel for 2 days and it needs a major improvement. When we checked in we were given a room which was not clean, the cushions were mouldy inside the cushion covers, the balcony had no key so could not lock it and there was no hot water. We then got moved to another room and was told to run the water for 5 minutes to get the hot through, I was told by a hotel member of staff that the water was getting hotter and told me to feel it - it was still cold! We were then told by the owner 5 minutes later the hot water is actually broken and will either be working today or tomorrow! Not a good start. The room we were moved to did have a balcony with a lock and was slightly cleaner however there were lots of ants - which to be honest after staying in Asia for 6 weeks is relatively common. The gym equipment is not safe, there is a bench where the cushion is not actually attached to the metal. There is also water running out of a hole - all very bizarre. There is a nice looking pool outside. The hotel did get the hot water fixed on the second day however the hot water was now working the cold wasn’t so we had no cold water to brush teeth etc. The hotel is cheap for canggu so if you are after somewhere just to sleep it would be ok but I would not recommend it for a comfortable stay.
