Both the upstairs great room and the lower level family room provide great gathering spots with large windows that bring in the sun and make it easy to view the mountains and wildlife.The kitchen is fully equipped with appliances, utensils, dishes, and pans. A propane grill on the deck is available for outdoor grilling. All you need to bring is your food. The washer and dryer are provided with laundry soap and softener sheets. The towels and bedding are washed on high temperatures. The outdoor deck provides an exquisite daytime view of Pike’s Peak and clear nighttime view of the solar system. The backyard forms into a tree-covered valley for exploration and hiking. The wood burning stove will take the chill off a cool evening.This is a great location for those wanting to explore the outdoors, yet remain close to the city and numerous attractions. The roads are well maintained. If wanting to explore beyond the cabin and surrounding forest, there are a multitude of things to do nearby. The cabin is located 15 minutes from Woodland Park (and 30 minutes from Colorado Springs), which has enough stores to provide about any product or service needed. There are many things to do year round in the Pikes Peak Region in addition to fishing, hunting, hiking, rafting, and skiing. The changing of the Aspen leaves in September is breath-taking.
