Lua Resort - Adults Only

Die Lage ist etwas außerhalb von Balatonfüred, jedoch nur etwa 15min Fußweg zur Fußgängerzone. Es fährt auch so eine Straßenbimmelbahn ins Zentrum, brauch man aber wirklich nicht. Wir waren hier 8 Tage und sind begeistert. Das Preis/Leistungsverhältnis stimmt, insbesondere für Saunagänger (95grad, Biosauna, Dampfsauna etc - alles wie auf der Website), Liebhaber von warmen Wasserbecken mit Whirlpool und Massagedüsen ein absoluter Volltreffer (keine Extrakosten und wann immer man will bis 20Uhr). Wer richtig schwimmen will, geht einfach vom Privatstrand in den Balaton. Es gibt genügend Liegen und keine üblen Handtuchblockierer. Die Zimmer sind sehr angenehm (Größe und Ausstattung gut), kleiner Balkon und ein ordentliches Bad. Der Service ist durchweg angemessen, jedoch möchte ich die Rezeption hervorheben, die es ermöglichen zwei Tage früher einzuchecken. Danke! Das Restaurant ist definitiv eine Empfehlung zum Abendessen! Die Weinempfehlung des Sommeliers kann man bedenkenlos folgen. Internetbandbreite ist gut auch im Außenbereich.

My husband and I came here for a few days for my birthday. From the moment we arrived, the staff was so excited to have us and so attentive to us. They wanted to be sure we had an amazing stay. They wished me happy birthday numerous times and even went out of their way to provide me a special spa gift experience and a surprise cake and champagne at breakfast. Everyone who works at LUA wants you to have a good stay. They provided recommendations on where to go (we took a trip to Tihany), call taxis, provide maps, etc. The spa at the resort is also amazing. The Beach area was not open yet as it was too early in the season, but the whole spa was open. We used the pool (indoor and outdoor), the hot tub, and lounged outside when the sun was out. I also purchased a 50 min full body massage and it was by far one of the best massages I have gotten in my life. The rooms are also wonderful. Very comfortable and nice views of the marina. NOON is their restaurant where we ate the entire time. We had half board so breakfast and dinner was included. The breakfast had a full buffet and something for everyone. And for dinner, even after eating there for three nights, we never got bored of the menu. I highly recommend staying here for a weekend or few days. It is a hidden gem.

Schöne Lage, wenn auch etwas abseits, das touristische Zentrum ist zu Fuß gut 20 Minuten entfernt, einen Shuttle gibt es nicht. Wir waren über Ostern und offensichtlich wurde das Hotel vom guten Wetter "überrascht". Die Terrasse des Wellnessbereichs war jedenfalls nicht geputzt, gleiches galt für die Kabanas. Auch das Personal war nicht sehr aufmerksam, d.h. Geschirr, leere Flaschen und Handtücher wurden nur sporadisch weggeräumt. Wellness ist ok, aber nicht berauschend (Saunalandschaft habe ich nicht aufgesucht, daher habe ich dazu keine Meinung). Das Frühstück war sehr gut, allerdings war um 10 Uhr am Ostersonntag der Andrang so groß, dass viele Gäste zunächst keinen Platz gefunden haben (obwohl ein kompletter weiterer Raum zur Verfügung gestanden hätte, der aber nicht geöffnet wurde). Kaffee dauerte 20 Minuten, mit dem Abräumen kam das Personal auch nicht hinterher. Zum Restaurant kann ich keine Angaben machen, da wir abends auswärts Essen waren. Das Hotel genügt den eigenen Ansprüchen leider nicht, bei 5 Sternen und den entsprechenden Preisen hatten wir höhere Erwartungen.

We had the chance to stay in the first week of 2023 in this newly opened 5 star resort in Balatonfured. It´s the off season, outside of the resort mostly everything is closed. No problem the resort offers everything what is needed for a great stay. The Breakfirst is great, the Spa new and spacious, the rooms perfect. The staff of the hotel is friendly and is trained to help the guests to feel at home. If the client´s have suggestions or questions the management takes care. A place to come back.

Nice new hotel, great room, functional, comfortable. Its greatest treasure is gastronomy. Almost fine dining pleasure, professional restaurant staff /Andras a chucs/ The quality selection of appetizers is unique, the main dishes are accompanied by plate service. Really remarkable wine list. The guest is replaced in 3 nights. The place is an island of tranquility and quality.

I almost always write our positive comments first in a review, but unfortunately, I have to say that we will not be returning to LUA RESORT. There is no doubt that the hotel is tasteful and beautiful, our room was spacious, clean, the bathroom well equipped, and the bed very comfortable. Dinner was also sublime, with interesting, unusual dishes and service. I would like to make a special mention of the afternoon activities, I particularly liked the KATACRYL craft and the chocolate demonstration. We spent a whole weekend there with my husband, looking for autumn wellness and relaxation. The shortcomings were most noticeable in the spa services. We waited a full hour to get towels that we can use in the wellness area. Several guests repeatedly reported this, but we were unable to get clean towels. They promised to try to collect them from the empty rooms upstairs, but it turned out to be a very long process. This makes us wonder how is it possible that there are not enough towels even when the hotel is not fully booked? I finally went up to our room and got some towels. This should not be the case in a 5*hotel. In the wellness area, refreshing soft drinks and lemon water were waiting for the sauna guests, but unfortunately, we could not drink, because there were no clean glasses. We finally helped to collect the empty ones from the tables, we took them to the wellness receptionist to speed up the process, but this did not work either, we got tired of waiting and we washed two of them ourselves and got ourselves our refreshments. We feel that somehow, they were not prepared for so many guests, as for example we had to wait to get in to get breakfast, as the dining room was full, and finally they opened a covered terrace area where we were very cold. Unfortunately, the biggest slap in the face happened at the check-out, when we were shown a consumption bill from the bar that we had not consumed. It was billed to our room number and the signature was like mine. The receptionist girl tried to convince me that probably another guest had accidentally entered our room number, which is completely absurd and it must be a very big coincidence that the other guest's name starts with the same T and his signature is in special characters and almost identical to mine (my signature is on the sign-in sheet that I had to sign when I checked in so it was easy to copy my signature). I conclude this as complete slap in the face and flat-out cheat and I'm very sorry that anything like this can happen in a hotel of this calibre.
