小船飯店(Boat Country Inn and Restaurant)

Ein Hotel das etwas in die Jahre gekommen ist. Leider funktionierte das Fernsehen nicht. Sauber, nettes Personal. Allerdings bei einem Übernachtungspreis von fas 200 € finde ich es ein unding ein Zimmer direkt über der Küche zu bekommen, wo man die ganze Zeit bei offenem Fenster den Küchengeruch ertragen muss. Auch beim Frühstück gab es Grund zu klagen. Ich hatte Eier Benedikt bestellt und der gekochte S*****en unter den Eiern war sauer.

Our so called Deluxe room that we had paid extra for looked nothing like the Deluxe rooms on the website. The boiler broke so there was no heating for 3 days which in December in Scotland is a pretty basic necessity. They charged us for the NYE Gala dinner despite the website claiming it was included in the price of the room. There were other little annoyances like the breakfast coffee machine not working. They did finally move us to an actual Deluxe room after a few days complaining to several members of staff and by way of compensation for no heating they waived the Gala dinner charge, which we shouldn’t have been charged for in the first place, so no real compression. It was all a bit of a shambles and very poorly managed.

Das Personal war mit wenigen Ausnahmen leider sehr unfreundlich und unkompetent

This is about our 5th visit to Boat. We had a stop over night on the way further north. . It’s a friendly for humans and dogs! It’s relaxed, and comfortable.

Beautiful Hotel, beautiful location. Staff were amazingly polite and efficient. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Shower was a bit rubbish tho.

Great dog friendly hotel

We stayed in garden rooms. Pros- huge tv, teas/coffee, fridge, robes,slippers. Access to garden area over looking railway station. Potential to be a beautiful summer location
